I agree but us Redskins fans gotta take what we can get.  As soon as RGIII gets on the field with a house of cards offensive line in front of him and a target on his knee...our season should promptly conclude...I really hope im wrong.

How do you feel about a Redskins name change OCJ? I personally am not a huge fan of making everything politically correct, but this seems to come up enough with this team that I think it will eventually be changed. I've heard the name Washington Warriors tossed around, I think it has a good ring to it. Nothing is really sacred anymore, in the future teams will probably just have sponsor names like stadiums do now. Buick presents Denver Broncos or fuck it just shit like the Denver Buicks.

I do not know how true it is but I hear the Redskins is an homage to the members of the Boston Tea Party who wore red face to conceal their identities.  The Redskins did start out in Boston so this would make sense to me.  If that is the case, then the Native Americans who are bitching are just being over sensitive.  If thats not the case they kinda have a point, but I'm not offended by Notre Dame's mascot...nor would I be if it had a drunk short dicked mascot because it is funny to be politically incorrect in my opinion.

Living in my area I am constantly exposed to other cultures, and I find most members of any culture who aren't whiny douche bags know when to pick their battles.  For instance a beautiful Vietnamese girl I work with always tells us to watch out for her on the road as we leave work, and that she should have a sign on her car that says "Warning Asian Woman Driver".

So in summation if it is really offensive to Native Americans, change it so they wont keep bitching about it.  If it isn't they can shut the fuck up in my opinion.  If they do change it I am personally rooting for the name "The Pigskins"  as our die hards are already called the "Hogettes"  and theres a lot of pig esque memorabilia at games usually.

Word. Pigskins sounds bad ass, better than Warriors for sure.
