Cornette has that NWA purist attitude and still lives in a world where people still question if wrestling is fake. When The Kliq broke kayfabe in 96 half the people in MSG new about it. I always liked Cornette in pro wrestling but after hearing that I'm disappointed in him. He sounds like an uptight old school wrestling snob. Maybe JCW isn't a well oiled machine as the bigger circuits but at least they put on shows and have the love for the business. You can tell ICP loves wrestling. They have a huge fanbase and they were able to take that success and incorporate another love for them and make it work. I was happy to see wrestling at the gathering. I enjoy underground rap/hip hop and love wrestling. ICP is just living a dream a lot of people who grew up watching wrestling wish they could do.  Now obviously they aren't in the ring themselves but they have a wrestling league and allowing others to have the opportunity to become wrestlers. I man hell Greg Valentine is on the ICP theater show and Scott Hall was on there once too. Cornette seems like he is against anything that isn't old school southern wrasslin. He sounds like every other mainstream media mouthpiece who reads their little blurb on juggalos and makes the same generic stereotypical assumptions. Some of his banter is funny though but when he just generalizes it gets old fast. Plus I thought it was weak sauce asking the crowd "him or them" I mean cmon dude your in room full of wrestling fans and they paid to see you...do you really need that validation that the people are there for you. Do you feel threatened that ICP fans are gonna steal your thunder...oh and btw you DO have a mic...they don't. And who was that woman. fuck her man lol seems like she got some beef too. Like I said Cornette was good in pro wrestling but now he just sounds like a resentful prick.

Just as faggoty just with more violence. i liked wrestling when i was like 13, but then i grew up and realized it was all play acting.

if i was over there and at comic con, i would do something stupid enough to get kicked out. 

But not because he has an unreasonable hate for icp ( i assume he was buttraped by a clown as a teenager) but because im a jerk.

I watched a lot of wrestling as a kid until I got into high school. Maybe it was discovering music or just going out alot with people and not home or maybe I "grew out" of it..who knows. I just stopped watching. This was during the rise of the NWO and the beginning of the attitude era so I missed some good entertainment.  Over the years I got back into watching the old WWF PPVs through the dvd collections they put out so I still enjoyed watching but never really got back into it. I just started watching again and I'm a fan all over again. I really is a soap opera but thats WHY I watched. I enjoy the performances by talented people. I enjoy the show. I like the kayfabe that is still being followed in the ring. Its the appreciation of someone who can follow in the time honored tradition and keep it going as best as possible. Everyone knows all the insider stuff with wrestling now so the illusion is gone but the show goes on. Its fun to watch a good match when you have two wrestlers who can put on a good match an get the whole crowd into it...even though they all know the outcome is already predicted. To me nowadays its more about enjoying the performance in the ring or a wrestler who can really work the crowd or even who is good on the mic. I like seeing those skills when I watch wrestling today.

@novocaine there is an art to it. I'm not a wrestling fan and could easily live with out it but there is an art to wrestling and it's much more than play fighting. It's more like a live stunt show play. There are people out there that enjoy wrestling for the actually wrestling rather than the gimmicks and the stories and Jim Cornette is one of them and he hates ICP because they simply did not belong at all. Yeah, they're huge fans and shit, but they sucked at wrestling.
