Dude, take your beats to the Gathering and put on a show on the Peep This Shit stage. The crowd's response will tell you whether folks here were right or wrong. But either way, keep at it, and hone your craft. There's potential there, but it's hard to see with the way you're carrying/presenting yourself.

I mix, master, record, write and produce all of my own shit too, and I can confidently say that my shit sounds much better than his.
Warlock's does too, IMO.
Plus, I haven't even been doing it nearly as long as he's claimed to have done it.

I think I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to tell aspiring artists to even practice anymore. Fuck that. I'll tell them to fucking quit. Too many people trying to be rappers, not enough talent, not enough strive to be better, not enough passion. The underground is getting watered down by losers.
If somebody quits because of criticism it's good because they are too bitch to handle it and it just makes more room for the people that have the passion and strive to be the best artist they can be.
I don't hope he gets famous, I hope he quits. I hope he fails and decides to give it up. I hope I take his place and rise above him. But I'm not just going to hope it, hope only gets you so far. I will make it happen. Cause I am on that Rap God shit, not that, "I hope I win" shit.

in principle, i support every single person making at least one album, preferably two.
but the point of that is to see whether or not you suck, and invariably most people fuckin suck.
that is a fact of life they will have to get used to, but its not a hardship, by any fuckin stretch. if you suck, dont make excuses, take inventory and realize that you are wasting your time.

Then there's dudes like IceJJFish... THAT guy gets told on the DAILY how bad he sucks but still cranks out song after shitty song and a bunch of videos to go with 'em. Don't know what it gets him but it sure seems to be what drives him, makes him happy, thinks he wants to do and keeps at. On some level, you gotta admire blind conviction. If ICP punked out like bitchNlame did, there would BE no Psychopathic Records OR Juggalos. If all it took was knowing how to rhyme words, Dr. Suess would'a been a world class rapper and not a children's book writer.

Rap God as in, I'm here to be the best I can be. I will do what I can to be the best lyrically, the best production wise, the best with everything I can. That's Rap God. That was Eminem proving that he is an all around 'God' of rap music. He put his abilities to the test not only with that song but with that whole album. It was him flexing his muscles, showing off. Rap God, proving your talent instead of putting out half assed bullshit and bitching when people don't like it. It's taking pride in what you do.
I mean, if you really put music out to please yourself then you are doing it with much more passion and you will want to do the best you can.
If you put music out for your fans then it's becoming more of a job and you will just push shit out to 'please the fans'.
He didn't take pride in what he did so he felt jaded when we attacked him.
With me, I have people tell me I suck all the time. Twiztidkillaxxx2 thinks I suck, I don't care cause I like me.
And on a less hater tip, you have told me that you didn't like a song of mine. Said you couldn't get all the way through it. Sucked to hear, but I didn't throw a fit about it. Because, all though you didn't like it, I still liked it. I love the shit I do. I fucking love it. I'm my own number one fan. And I know that not everybody is going to like me. And I know that I'm not the best and that I can use some work. That's cause I'm my own fan, I know what I want to hear. I will pander to my own wants, what will make me want to bump my own shit. It also helps knowing that you aren't just some hater talking trash too, that it's your honest opinion.

Yeah, I know. I have so many ideas and so many projects that I'm slowly inching on but I'm really fucking busy with my work schedule which they don't pay me enough for.
I know I got The Remixtape that I haven't worked on for a while that I should work on, and I got another collaborative mixtape type thing just opened up on but I don't want to release any of those until I get my new laptop and shit which will cost a lot of money. I want it to sound the best which I just can't do on this laptop. It glitches out too much.
For my masterpiece I have it all produced and I've written about half of it but It will be a long time before it actually surfaces. I can't half ass this project and I will do what I can to make sure it gets some kind of distribution and not just some bandcamp purchase site.
It's really just time and money with it for me. Two things I really really wish I had more of. A lot of limitations but trust me, eventually shit will be coming out. Plus, I have worked on a lot of things and I have a lot of finished shit just tucked away. I just haven't released any of it.
