I'll give it a shot but I'm really not digging the design, not to mention I have my worries about the concept of the card.
Not inherently. But given it's about "betrayal"...I hope it's not just an entire album of J and Shaggy bitching about twiztid, or young wicked, or people not going to the March, or personal shit.

I think this is the best joker card design in years. I'd say its on par with the first 6 but that's my opinion.
I honestly think ICP has been contemplating their legacy and they are starting to work with concepts that have more substance. I highly doubt they are gonna have an album of crying about what you listed. Im sure they will use those emotions they feel to inspire the lyrics, but it won't be name dropping and take up full songs.
My main concern is the production. In the "create your own songs podcast" shit they did J seemed very into simple beats and likes to do that singing flow. I understand why, but personally think it makes the music sound hallow and lazy. The reason Mike Clark is so beloved is the layers and layers in the soundscapes he makes. His beats aren't the same recycled drumkits etc.
Ive noticed a lot of beat makers these days don't create their own sound kits. They just loop some shit and add a sample or effect and call it a day. As far as the delivery for the rapping, J lacks energy in a lot of cases. The best ICP songs are when they scream or make a demented sounding voice. They need to convey more mental illness and not some flat monotone shit.
Also J doesn't seem to have multiple vocal layers in his new shit either. At least I don't think. If he wants to do that monotone delivery thats okay, but add a second quieter layer with a different voice to fill the flat faygo soda of his delivery.
My personal opinion, but Im optimistic about the new music we are gonna hear.
Between the new album, EPs, the clownheads, and other projects its gonna be a fresh year

I just feel like it's over designed. There was a certain amount of simplicity to the first 6. There's just something about the overall spirit of the second deck that I don't fuck with and this one isn't doing it for me. But hey, opinions and shit.
I hope I'm wrong. I'd love if this was the best album ICP put out since the first 6. I just have my worries, and doubts. Things like "seriously hilarious", or Shaggy's "Psychopathic soldier"? great as a one-off on their albums. Nothing wrong with venting a little frustration at how shit has gone for them; hell, ICP is at their best when they're genuinely pissed off and have something to prove. But with the theme of betrayal for this album..I really don't think they can sustain a full album of that kind of shit without it just coming off as whiny and bitching. - especially after that "ask the dons" interview where J said he hasn't been following twiztid since the march BS happened. Hopefully he's left all that shit in the past and betrayal is just a greater theme for the card and they're not focusing entirely on personal betrayals they've faced.
as for the beats and shit? I mean, they're never going to have their old sound again, both with how they've changed as artists and not having MEC at the helm anymore. If anything, hopefully they can use the passion and anger they seem to be feeling lately and use that to light a fire under their own asses, get some energy pumped into the recording booth.

Something I've noticed throughout the years is that Joe & Joey, as people, have always been about loyalty. To a fault, one could even argue. But their patterns of loyalty have been apparent for years. Perhaps it was something solidified by the hardships and influences they endured throughout their formative years.
So a loyalty/betrayal/revenge/solidarity-themed album is not a huge surprise to me.
Violent J seems to have a huge fear of being alone. He says it bluntly in the "Behind the Paint" book, several times. He relies on friendship and family A LOT to feel any kind of contentedness. Notice how lots of songs by the man are about being alone, forgotten, betrayed, etc.... Truly Alone, Play With Me, Under the Moon, Suicide Hotline, Angels Falling, Hell's Forecast, I Found a Body. Could go on for a bit.
Anything other than complete loyalty seems to befuddle the guys. Like they have trouble comprehending people turning their backs on them.
I just had a thought... Suicide Hotline is one of the only tracks where ICP don't have a chorus.

I've noticed that alot about Violent J. He's been talking about being alone and time alot. I don't think he'll ever fully be over Twiztid leaving. If it was up to him we'd still be in the 2002-2012 family era forever. But unfortunately things happened and the whole roster is gone from then.
Another note is I'm curious how long the idea of this card has been in his head? The Twiztid falling out happened fully in early 2017. During early production of FFF. Theyve had the name of the 5th joker card in mind clearly while recording FFF (Night of Redrum). It feels like he had a idea but was commmited to finishing FFF first rather then changing Fred's meaning to loyalty.
So I'm calling he's had Yum Yum Bedlums meaning a lock for a while.

FFF was a great card, so it makes me even more excited to hear how this one will turn out! I will say that the design of this card is kind of weird, I just don't think it meshes quite well with the others. But seeing as how each new album is becoming more and more complex, I can't wait to see what else will be made after this.
But yeah, as much as I love Seriously Hilarious and aggressive tracks like that, I really don't wanna hear an entire beef album. :/ So hopefully it ain't gonna be like that.
