Lately Ive found myself listening to a Psychopathic album a day, front to back when I have time. Recently I’ve crept upon the 2009 and the album I’ve been listening to is Bang! Pow! Boom! I remember when it came out controversial times for not being as angry and wicked as the old shit. Then you add on Miracles. Years later I’ve noticed the album is considered one of the better ICP albums of the second deck since most ICP albums get mixed reactions from Juggalos these days. So as I listened to the album I thought “will BPB receive a vinyl release?” We can guarantee the old first 6 are gonna get Vinyl release and seeing how MDP and MML released in the vinyl resurgence era, plus seeing Psy is now interested in releasing Vinyls to people. But would anyone purchase BPB on vinyl if it released is my question. I understand it charted #4 on the Billboard 200 but is it popular with Juggalos enough to warrant a vinyl release. For me it’s my favorite album from the 2nd deck next to Lost. Any thoughts? I just feel there’s so many more profitable albums in ICPs catolog that will probably smother out BPBs possibly for vinyl.
Side note- Am I the only one that remembers BPB was not always the first jokers card of a second deck? I swear ICP never referred to it as such during production or original release in 2009. I remember ICP calling it the return of the Dark Carnival and stressed it was not a 7th jokers card but it’s own entity that exists on its own. I don’t recall hearing such till the Nuclear edition released in 2010 and more so when MDP was revealed at Hallowicked 2010.

During the Bang Pow Boom, which happened shortly after the album’s release, (so shortly that the dates were actually in the liner notes) they floated this idea to the audience at each tour date.
J would say something to the effect of “We would never disrespect the six jokers cards by putting out a seventh jokers card, but maybe Bang Pow Boom is the first of a NEW set of jokers cards”
They were gauging the reaction from the crowds, to help them decide whether or not to make lore jokers cards. In St. Louis, the reaction was pretty positive.
Considering that ICP has been attracting a more casual type of fan since around that time, I think it would have been a better idea to float that idea at the Gathering. Me? I think that they should have left it with the original six.

I would buy it but I’m not exactly clamoring for it. It would go well with my (virtually unused) vinyl copy of MDP. As previous poster said, the whole “second deck” concept was born on the BPB tour. The first I heard it was 9-17-09. They said it that night in Minnesota. Might have been the first night of the tour iirc.

Also it makes sense that bpb wasn’t really meant to be the first of a second deck. Coc wasn’t meant to be the first of a deck either. That came later. Also i never realized until right now how close those acronyms are.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

Meh, I may buy it, but most likely would not. Don’t really listen to my MDP vinyl as it is. Maybe once a year…
I would like to get my hands on an original COC vinyl and would definitely grab Milenko on vinyl if that was ever to be released. Thinkin on it, kinda surprised that’s not something they did on the past few juggalo days…

TOTALLY AGREE !!
I think the “new deck” is utter shite ! Apart from Phantom which has nothing to do with the deck so yeah.
BANG, POW, BOOM – would never buy it on vinyl cos IT SUCKS !! By far THE worst thing ICP ever released and to me it was the start of the decline and for the first time in my life feel a bit embarrassed to say I like ICP cos even I can see that ICP are a fuckin joke and little kiddies/teenie bobber rap on albums like that and can see why no one takes them seriously as rappers or lyricists. There was so much depth on the first six that they deserve credit for from any hip hop fan who understands word play and story telling.
Also the first real obvious showing to me that ICP actually do/did wana be mainstream cash and success to some level and also realized how to manipulate the Juggalo fan base for profit. BPB is the start of their cash in off the Juggalo’s by understanding how committed their relatively small/large fan base into buying multiple copies of the same albums for a couple extra tracks or an additional Cd with shit no one really asked for. All to just make triple the profits on every album made and higher looking sales figures on the official billboard 200 and hip hop indy charts by releasing an album unknown to the rest of the world re-packaged three time so each one Juggalo’s purchase now in figures looks like three individual purchases by different people.
So like Yeah we sold 30,000 copies in week one is actually only 10,000 copies the rest is just cash grab and for statistics to make them look better and more successful than they actually are but Hey you get that successful pay day.
So Yeah back to point. NO !! Bang Pow Boom never deserves to be purchased again and to be honest I feel a bit shitty for even having it in my collection, it’s the worst and actually the last time I ever actually purchased and ICP album they tricked me like most with our long wait for the new Jokers Cards. Never bought an album or CD since : (

This really bugs me. ICP has been releasing “repackaged” albums since Milenko at the latest. It’s not like BPB gave you anything different besides a few extra songs. I bought the album then DLed the extra bonus tracks.
BPB is ok to me. Not great, but has some pretty good songs. I wouldn’t buy it on vinyl as I don’t own a record player.

I’m glad to see I’m not crazy when it became the first jokers card of the new deck. I remember talking to ninjas prior to its release and it was simply reffered to an entity in the dark carnival mytho that wasn’t a jokers card. I wasn’t aware of them testing the waters on the tour.
I’m not against the new deck as long as ICP can create original characters without rehashing old ideas with different faces. Even worse how bad would it be if the 4 jokers card of the 2nd deck was also The Great Milenko, and they simply called it The Return of the Great Milenko and aged the character. That would be pure shit.
BPB was a fun concept album for me. Front to back. I also loved the skits and the build up.ive even warmed up to Juggalo Island as years have passed. Epic ending feeling like a shot of energy.
MDP was only interesting for the first 8 tracks then becomes boring with an uninteresting ending track. I liked the message but Forever got tiresome hearing the word “shit” rhyme constantly. Hell I swear they rhymed “shit” with the word “it” talk about lazy. At least Time on found felt emotional and struck me and it literally had the same message
MML easily could have been a non Jokers card album idea. The character just feels absent çompared to the others but same could be said about CoC. One could say “you” the listener is the Missing Link but are you Lost or Found.
