If you accept it as new ICP before listening to it and can avoid comparing it to the old shit, it doesn't sound like it's gonna be a bad album.  As far as how many copies it sells, do you guys think it would be fair to cut whatever # gets reported in half to account for people buying more than 1 version to get a more accurate idea of how many people actually bought it?

I haven't anticipated the "old sound" since AJB dropped. Sorry but if you expect the 90's ICP than YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LET DOWN time to move on  and just enjoy those old albums quit holding on.

I'm old school down since '94. Without spoiling anything I'll try to be careful here.

I heard all the snippets. Beat wise on MDP is new shit no doubt. Hook wise I really like most of what I heard. They way J and Shaggs rap throughout the songs vary. ***SPOILER**  "Where's God" J's flow reminded me of "Wizard in the Hood" But the hook was some new style.

If you guys want another Ringmaster or Riddlebox, good luck with that. You might get one track similar but this is 2012 not 1995. Korn doesn't sound the same. Metallica 2012 isn't Metallica 1987 or 2004.  Shit even Bones Thugs & Harmony music was different from record to record.Beastie Boys is a good example.

For being old school and going by the 30 sec. amazon snippets, I was digging most of Death Pop, Better than Tempest and Bang Pow Boom in my opinion.

I agree with some on here, not really a wicked album Wicked to me is... 12, The loons, one for maggots, never had it made etc...

And to the juggalo who said "dindn't get 2 years of hard work" is off. They made 30 songs or more.

Here is my grade on Death pop based on 30 sec. snipps.........B

The song I'm looking forward to after hearing...."Hate her to Death"

Song that let me down a little bit (beacuse of the title had my hopes up)  Skreeeem  ( have to hear the whole track I guess)

Song that might surprise juggalos- Daises

Best track out of the songs....Jump Around.  The collab with Swollen Memebers is tight also. Benoit Remix is fresh to.

right.  you want to hear icp with that 'classic' riddlebox sound, i recommend you buy RIDDLEBOX, not mdp.  you miss milenko, dust it off and bump it.  if icp were putting out the same shit every time, almost every one of you would have long since talked a ton of shit, dropped them, and moved on to something else.

for those who say 'j and shaggy are old now,' whats your point?  no one over thirty can entertain?  if you really believe this, then you are way fuckin yourselves by being a juggalo, and you should most definitely switch to disney.

and to those who believe icp should retire, or should have already, what the hell are you doing here to begin with?  you should retire.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I feel like listening to the amazon snippets vallidated my hype for the album. I was reading a lot of negativity being thrown at MDP, I assume most of those opinions were based on the leak. Having not heard the leak, nor even the hatchet attacks performance of Chris Benoit, I couldn't form an opinion of my own and I was unsure about Death Pop. Now I don't really give two shits what anyone says about it, I've had a listen or two and I thought it sounded great. It's not the fucking Riddle Box, no, but it's also not another Calm.

My favorites from what I heard were Bazooka Joey, Shooting Stars, Dog Catchers and Daisies. All of which I thought were absolutely retarded titles until I listened to them.

I was never blessed with the gift of foresight, so financially I have no idea how well Mighty Death Pop will do. I hope it sells well, I hope we see a high charting debut, maybe even past the number 4 slot. Will it happen? I have no fucking clue. But I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the album for what it is.
