I don’t really think of it as a Wizard of the Hood track, but AXES SWINGIN is the one I come back to most often. Very underrated song. Cool beat, stripped down feel, nice and short, some cool/funny references like Picker Forest, and a nod to the Twiztid song “Reflection.” Would be awesome to bust out on Violent J’s solo tour.Of course Homies 2 Smoke With is legend and the most fun to sing with friends.
Hahahaaa! of course you would pick fuckin’ axes swingin. get the fuck outta here with that whack-ass answer

I know I’m in a stark minority but i don’t really like the album. It was a good concept but it doesn’t really go anywhere. With all the story elements in place, woulda liked… A story. Climax, resolution, etc.
It’s like they lost track of the story halfway through and just gave up.
It was fun as shit at the gathering though. I dunno. Maybe if I did drugs more often than once a year.
Addendum: multiple myselves is genius and is absolutely hilarious.

I love the whole album of course, but if I had to pick a few favorites I’d have to say “Let it Rain”, “Horribly Horrifying”, and “What You Thinkin’ About?”. If including the bonus tracks, “Bloody Bitch Dead” is an absolute classic for me. I remember it was first released just on ICP’s website I think on Thanksgiving that year and I’ve always loved it. The hook is strangely satisfying and J’s flow is the bomb. Mike P also came through on that beat, too, it’s very simple but it really works.
Also, even though WOTH is filled with the rest of the Psychopathic artists from that time, J actually wrote all the lyrics right?

I just feel like its one long track
All the songs have the same bass line, varies a bit from song to song, but each transition it goes back to that basic bass line. Flows nicely.
And my favorite song is Wizard of the Hood, the song, from COC.

I agree about Bloody Bitch. Love the beat, it hits super hard. Meant to be played with bass loud as fuck. Great, fucked up lyrics. J at his weeded best.
I hate most of Multiple Myselves. Axes Swinging is pretty good. My Shine is awesome. Ruby red trees, yellow gem bushes, mercury waterfalls granting all wishes.. cool imagery. Tornadoes of glitter float calmly by.

I like the discussion about the bonus songs. I already talked about how I’m still on Bloody Bitch’s nuts, here’s the others for me:
Multiple Myselves – Agree with some other comments here – the concept is great and I think the beat is pretty cool, but, overall I think this could have been better. It has some funny shit for sure, but, is mostly just J talking and there’s not much of a flow to it. I think with a little more thought into the execution of the lyrics, this would have been a classic.
Axes Swinging – Love the beat, I don’t think it gets enough love. J sounds great in the verses. The only thing that holds this song back is the chorus. I think it’s super half assed with the “Chop chop” and “painted faces axes swinging” it’s just like entry-level ICP shit that’s been done to death.
My Shine – Always loved this song. This came out the same time as Bloody Bitch on ICP’s website before it was on WOTH. It’s cool to listen to now, but, was pure magic at the time it came out. J was clearly riding high during the Shangri-la era and it was cool he did shit like this shortly after the release of Shangri-La, it was a nice bonus and a great feel-good song only J could pull off like this.
