Well, there’s like a million different reasons why, for me I felt like the songs understood me, and I’m willing to wager others feel the same way. It has our love for the creepy and violent, while at the same time targeting that violence against the awfulness in the world, something I’m sure a lot of us wish we could do. Best exemplified by tilta whirl and bang pow boom. 

On top of that, ICP themselves represents the ultimate countercultural fuck you, we’re fucking crazy and we don’t give a shit, we don’t care if we look fucking stupid, we can be rude, blunt, maniacs. All the subcultures that edgily brag about mental illness always end up being depressive, rather than manic. I’m not saying every juggalo is a crazy person, I’m just saying that if you are a genuinly agressivly “crazy person” (like me to an extent) this is one of the only places you can go.

Speaking of counterculturalism I’ve heard a lot that there is a ton of juggalos living in the deep south, surrounded by the bigots and chicken fucks that ICP always says they kill, a lot of them couldn’t really relate to most rap, but this was REAAAAAAALY relatable, idk if anyone here can relate to that story or anything, but thats what I heard. And from that point the inability to relate to most rap in general has also made a few icp fans.

ICP represents things that nobody else would, things get people pissed at them, some things that were only ever seen in genres like death metal, now being represented with 5 times the word count, and, you know, actually audible (I also know a lot of metalheads that like horrorcore and vise versa), and even then adding a “moral center” that is really hard to find despite being increadably theraputic. I doubt they realized when they started, but they came to mean something irreplacable.

Or maybe I’m just stupid, idfk.

Yeah, I’m the same way, I ended up loving the family aspect, but originally I just wanted some music I could really get behind and love like I already did with metal, but more relatable in what I believe (killing pieces of shit). But its easy to see from the music why it would form this family, because it connects with people in all the ways I said a bit ago and more. But yeah, nobody would be here (I think) if the music wasn’t good.

Your right about one thing, there is INTENSE magic in icp’s songs, but your wrong about EVERYTHING ELSE YOU’VE SAID. HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT THEY AREN’T A FORCE FOR GOOD.

The line you gave was a joke, made to connect with people comedically.

ICP will save the world, how could you be so evil to suggest otherwise, and they do not brainwash, they simply show people a glimpse of the truth, even if they don’t know it.

THIS is one of the HUGE things that made me love the hatchet. The lore and magic they would put into everything. It’s just not their anymore.
