Doors were at 6, there wasnt an announcement anywhere at 8pm when i was reading this thread last night.

The opener mentioned it on twitter, but noone else.

Correct, do u know what kind of a hassle it is to get downtown during rush hour, not to mention i was gettin dropped off, had to cancel an uber that was en route to get me. Luckily the opener called me and let me know whats up. I would of wasted alot of money and time for nothing.

How do you know it was cancelled due to ticket sales?

No matter what violent j states publicly, i will still believe he ditched the show cuz of low attendance. Shaggy came 10 days prior and the turn out was about 40, he prolly told VJ about it at juggalo day and if the presales werent good to prolly cancel it.

And what further supports my belief is that this weekend they are doing the rude boy show and the riddlebox show. Im confident in saying VJ gave us the bone.

Yeah i was drunk and irrationally heated,  and i apologize. I still got mcl for VJ, i bet shit has been horrible for him this year so far. The march isnt goin as planned, cant find a spot for the gathering, the twiztid and young wicked situations, that hurrican of diamonds song got alot of hate, the merchandise and hatchetgear problems, the blahzay stranded incident, plus prolly a bunch of other shit we dont know about. I cant blame him for not wanting to perform for a handful of juggalos and taking a loss from his pockets, if i walk in his shoes, he is prolly really depressed at the moment.

well I liked Hurricane of Diamonds...I agree they're not in the best spot right now but I think they can still bounce back...what they need right now honestly I mean the solo albums should still drop but imagine if we just got a surprise ICP album lol I think a big issue they've had with their fans over the last few years is they HYPE the shit out of their records to the point where of course a lot of folks will come away disappointed...but if they just dropped something out of the blue?

I could see why they'd look at it as a risk financially or w/e but personally I think it'd have better results idk...they could have done the same thing with the solo albums to be real rather than hyping that Shaggy's would drop last year only to have it be 2017 and it just now getting an official release date a few weeks ago lol

This is the type of thing IMO that would put PSY back in the forefront for us juggalos. This is the type of thing IMO that I'd put money on saying sadly will never happen.

But I honestly finally stopped caring about what PSY puts out, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I was just speaking on the state of the label in general...I love their music but between these dwindling crowds and the artists coming and going left and right and other drama things could be better

Didn't they already do this with The Phantom EP?

I thought that was an announced EP (although within a short time frame of it's release)? Or was it a GOTJ 2015 release? I don't remember that being a "hey I just woke up to a random new ICP release" type of thing? I could be wrong though, it's been known to happen.

The VJ solo album that would go on to be The Shining was dropped by surprise. That wasn't available for purchase though so it was a bit different.

They gave away The Phantom sampler LP at the gathering 2015.

Then released the The Phantom X-tra Spooky Edition later on that same year i think.

When they gave out phantom they were saying it was a limited gathering only release. They weren't calling it a sampler. It only became a sampler when they decided to release the expanded version.

If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter
