Sure, everyone knows the intention of the song by now. the problem is ICP just suck at conveying that with any sort of intelligence or nuance. You can’t say shit like “fucking magnets, how do they work?” and dissmiss science as “taking the magic out of the world” without expecting to be seen as anti-intellectual.
the idea behind the song is fine. the execution fucking sucked. IMHO it’s one of their weaker songs. But thats just my opinion.
I don’t care if somebody rejects science so long as their not making my laws or teaching it in a school, they’re entitled to how they view the world, and for some people the reality of science and how things actually work is very unfulfilling, so if its not what they prefer, and they will never need the real information in their life why not just believe something else?

Like that South Park episode with the otters in the future. They confront some pope or priest or something, and before he gets beat he says something like “maybe science is the how, but not the why?”
I dig that in ways. Like Neil De Grasse Tyson says, science exists whether you believe it or not. But it’s still not telling us the “meaning” or “purpose”, if there is one or not. There very likely may not be a purpose at all. But I dont see searching for it as a waste of time for anyone. I personally do not want to use my limited time that way, because I surely know that I’m not the one special organism that will discover “The Meaning of Life”. If I do, lol, itll be by accident. I sure felt like I did when I was a teen off of acid, shrooms and DXM. I didnt find The Meaning or An Answer, but I sure as fuck tapped into some sort of alternate reality.

Anything off of Cold 187um’s The Only Solution. Love that album. Probably the most underrated Psy release. It’s really a damn shame that the majority of Juggalos didn’t feel him. Would’ve been great had he stuck around a little longer. For a proper album, some features, hooks, maybe some production or a super group. A G-Funk album by Blaze produced by 187um would have been dope (if he hadn’t left as well).

This shit hit me HARD the first time i heard it. Id rather have the radio on than the television any day. I remember growing up and visiting dad one day. Hed lost a lot of things in his various moves but never lost his stereo and record collection. One night i went over and there was barely anything in his latest efficient apartment. My eyes saddened at the lack of furnishings. Just a couple blankets on the floor, maybe some used odds and ends and that stereo sitting in the corner. We sat outside and talked with the neighbors till the sun went down then we headed inside. He then turned to me and asked “well are ya ready to watch some radio”? It was right then that i noticed the radio in all its glory. Chrome receiver and tuner sitting atop 2 massive floor speakers. Once the lights in the housing complex dimmed that radio glew (glow, glowed, glue?) to life. Back lit tuner lighting up the local 70’s station, htz needles bouncing around, slight reflection glimmered off of the brushed aluminum faces of the various parts. He ended up losing his records not being able to pay for storage fees during a jail term. I lost the radio during one of my various moves. I myself lost the stereo… Since then ive loved having any music to listen to.

also, 9 pistolas and only solution are good choices, just cuz they got no spins. really, theyre more ‘unrated’, than underrated.

and ill admit, i been sleepin on the only solution the entire time. barely heard any of it. [but liked what i heard, though]

I wonder if we’ll ever get any info on this wicked joint “Let It Go” (“Madness” / “Panic Zone”?), and if we’ll ever hear it in its entirety. I remember this snippet of this track being played on W Fuck Off Radio back in 2008, and the track was never referenced again… I’m hoping this is a Hell’s Pit outtake that we’ll hear on the 20th anniversary bonus disc, it has that vibe…
