I’ve been listening to little tidbits of ICP throughout the years, never really sat down and listened to a dedicated album. Just kind of admired your culture you got going around here from afar without ever really considering myself one of you.
Still, I’m curious about broadening my horizons to learn more about what you guys have been listening to for years.
TL;DR, I’m looking for suggestions as to the best works from Twiztid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Boondox and of course, ICP.
To give you an idea of what I’ve enjoyed from songs in the past I’ve heard the likes of Homies, Miracles, Halls of Illusions, Boogie Woogie Wu, Play With Me and What Is A Juggalo.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

the wraith/hells pit
Wizard of the hood (violent J solo) is quite possitbly one of teh greatest sstories ever told.
for twiztid same deal
best thing todo would be google psychopathic discography.
classics to hit up (this is a list of my favourite, obviously they vary)
twiztid – The green Book
Blaze ya dead homie – Colton Grundy
Anybody Killa – Dirty history
pychopathics from outer space 1/2/3 (if you can find em)
twiztid – abomanationz
Dark Lotus (icp, twiztid, blaze, marz supergroup) tales from teh lotus pod (original, no the rerelease which was god awful, the original has a red cover, not yellow)
psychopathic rydas – anything, its all hilarious.
thats a good place to start. im sure people will add their favourites.

more or less what they said. But I recommend 3 of the dark lotus albums. Original tales from the lotus pod, opaque brotherhood, and the mud water air and blood.
Also, Milenko is easily the most popular icp album so you can start there if you want. I think Mighty Death Pop or the Marvelous Missing Link lost would be good starting places too because they sound fairly modern. Lost is heavily debated right now (as is found) so you can join in on those discussions with us, but it doesn’t really sound like most icp albums because they switched up producers. Death Pop has a more poppy sound than most icp does but it’s more focused than a lot of the other jokers cards.

I’d also say that the music is almost / basically secondary at this point. There’s enough cool shit out there to bump and you should explore it, but most of us are too old for that checking your credentials shit. We’re a very eclectic group and a lot of juggalos come and go with icp, twiztid, etc. Sometimes it hits just right for you and sometimes it don’t. If you find you just can’t get into the music then maybe it ain’t right for you, but maybe there’s shit that isn’t really specifically “juggalo” shit that’s sort of tangential that works like tech n9ne or hopsin. Or maybe you get more into a lot of the horrorcore shit that seems to gravitate towards icp but not icp themselves. or maybe you get into weird experimental shit. Find what works for you. You can still kick it with us.

theres a small percentage of juggalos dont seem to give much a fuck about the music at all. ive never seen em at tour stops, but a few of em pop into the gathering every year.
i just realized that this cat is askin for songs, and all were suggesting is albums.
all right then, a song… uh… southwest strangla. go.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

All Lotus albums. If you wanna check out tha original “Tales” go ahead but marz is fuckin unbearable. not to say ABK is better but ABK is way better.
I’ve always said this. Marz was FUCKING AWFUL. I can’t listen to TFTLP without hitting skip every time a verse from him comes on. ABK fit in way better. Black Rain is actually my favorite DL album. I would really like if they would bring ABK out for a few songs during a Lotus set at GOTJ (Villianous, She was, Ka-Boom, Corrosion, ETC..)

Really? I actually don’t think Marz was that bad. I definitely liked the Marz version of Juggalo Family, mostly because “Say what you will of me” sounds better to me than “Until Eternity.” Plus, Marz has some cool rhymes, “I got visions of flashbacks of me on horse back, dressed in black a severed head on my lap.”
In response to the main post, you really just have to listen to ICP’s whole discography in sequential order. Then, do the same with Twiztid’s discography, then Blaze, then ABK, then Dark Lotus, then Psy Rydas.

if i had to pick one, id go with the marz version; but really, i wish they had just cut his verses and thrown in a couple new tracks for the rerelease. abk doesnt work, especially the way they half-ass squeezed him into it.
on the whole, that albums got a big asterisk, no matter which you go with.

With a group like ICP that’s been around for so long and has so many albums and different songs, you’re going to get a ton of different answers. I first got into ICP in 1998. For me I’d say you can’t go wrong with the back to back to back Joker Cards of Riddle Box, The Great Milenko, and The Amazing Jeckel Brothers.
The Riddle Box is the album where ICP really hit their stride. COC and Ringmaster were great but inconsistent in their sound and concept. Riddle Box was rock solid through and through and they really seemed to have found their sound. While the whole album is awesome, some key tracks to pick out (in my opinion) are “The Show Must Go On”, “Cemetery Girl”, “Dead Body Man”, “Ol’ Evil Eye”, “12”, and “The Killing Fields”. Personally, “Ol’ Evil Eye” is one of my absolute favorite ICP songs in their whole catalog.
The Great Milenko is, of course, the album that brought them more into the public eye for all the wrong reasons, but the album itself is a classic. It’s where they really started to explore more of the rock side while still maintaining and perfecting their core sound. You listed several songs from that album as ones you are familiar with. So aside from those, “Hokus Pokus”, “Piggy Pie”, “House Of Horrors” and “Pass Me By” are greats. But again, the whole album is sweet.
The Amazing Jeckel Brothers has a crazy energy to it and really nice production. This was the first album I bought on release day for ICP so it definitely holds a special place for me. “Terrible”, “Everybody Rize”, “Mad Professor”, “Echoside” and “Nothing’s Left” are some good ones to check out if you’re not listening to the full album.
If you’ve listened to those albums or at least the songs I mentioned and still aren’t into ICP then you probably won’t be. Or maybe you’d like the new school shit better for your tastes.
