Throughout the years of listening to ICPs shit my ears and brain became unsettled with little faults found and heard with some albums. Mixing and skits and just something fucked up that drives me nuts.
The first one is the Guts on the Ceiling song. Telephone rings asking to speak to J, then it’s Shaggy, talking to J. What the fuck where the fuck who the fuck is that voice?
The next one, Dead Body Man, after every line I’m hearing J say “baby”. It’s very faint but I hear the song differently now.
The last one I can think of at the moment is that Ryden Dirty song. The beginning, the audio starts off to the right then pans into the center. What the fuck!!!
I know there’s other shit out there that makes my ears and my auditorial sense go off but when I hear it I’ll mention it, perhaps, or maybe I’ll write to Psychopathic and tell them to fix the shit. Wtf ![]()

theres a very clear macintosh powerpc error noise in the middle of hound dogs. i think it was during blazes verse.
gotta be a few dozen songs, at least, that ive noticed a punch-in, and now i cant help but notice it every time.
its funny how hard it is to unhear shit like that, once ya notice it.
of course, this wouldnt be limited to icp or psychopathic. sorta thing probably happens in all music everywhere.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Yup
There’s a skit in Great Milenko where they’re introducing trapeze artists that makes me cringe because it appears to be audio from a normal circus, and it doesn’t fit with the rest of the album.
Triple Threat has a skip in the final cut for some reason where all of the audio goes to one ear.
This one was pointed out to me, but Piggy Pie. “People in they city, they fightin for they meals / he sleeps on a mattress stuffed with hundred dollar bills.” It could easily rhyme depending on how you pronounce it, but J pronounces “meals” and “bills” the way they normally are, so it doesn’t rhyme.
“Black Rain” by Dark Lotus. They added moaning to J’s verse for whatever reason
“They Pray With Snakes” sounds like it’s about jacking off if you don’t know the title because it can easily me misinterpreted as “they play with snakes”
Blaze says “nigga” like 50 times in Juggalo Anthem. Doesn’t bother me, but they made a pretty big point about not saying that particular word (not applying to Hoodoo) on Psychopathic releases after Mostasteless. To the point where he says “a sucka to the pavement, another bitch killt” when he performs it live
And the fact that they often say “suffercate” and “psychopatchik” in songs as if to set up an easier rhyme, but then don’t rhyme with it.

this bothers me a lil bit.
id love to have an alternate reality mix of the song that is more in line with the live style.

yeah. i could almost forgive em for these, except…
but then don’t rhyme with it.
oy.
to be fair, though, its part of icps schtick to quadruple down on that, and mispronounce all kindsa shit on purpose.
cuz its funny. so.
[edit] typo fix.

Right. But if you listen to Jumpsteady’s “The Road” spoken word project, he also says “suffercate” even though it’s not a rap album in any way, and he’s not trying to be funny for the majority of it. That must just be a Bruce family thing.

I always hated how “Its all over” just ends. No audio fade out outtro. I know it’s an outake but they could have finished it.
okay, that, i really like.
what does bug me, in a small way, is that that particular song isnt four minutes longer, so they could use it for faygo armageddons. but whateva.

The voice asking to speak to joe Bruce in “guts on the ceiling” was shaggy talking proper bc at the time j was living with rude boys family and if anyone called for him they acted like an employer calling about a job. In case Rudy’s parents answered so J didn’t seem like a lazy lowlife using them for a place to stay. It was an inside joke.
It’s all over ends abruptly bc the song is about the end of the world and it’s supposed to just cut off like the world ended.
Oh and the trapeze Skit on Milenko was made by them and is just a funny skit of a guy falling to his death. It’s actually a good skit considering it transitions into halls of illusions really well.

In Under the Big Top J says “I’m Violent J the Juggla, the pillow face smuggler”. I’ve always wondered if he meant to say Pillow face smotherer?
I only noticed that “baby” thing in Dead Body Man about a year ago when i read a youtube comment pointing it out. The original Tech N9ne “CHA” right there :)

Tech used to say his own name like a million times in a song. And then the cha shit.
Glad that’s over lol.
I have spotify premium and it bugs me that tales from the lotus pod is only available in the abk version.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

I honestly have no clue what they say.
I think the suffercate is just a regional dialectical thing. J is like the only other person I’ve heard besides my pops who pronounces pumpkin like “punkin”.
Gotta be, I totally pronounce it suffercate too…. hmm never noticed it was a thing till now haha

I’ve been listening to ICP for 20 years and never understood the use of “psychopatchik”. I’m also like uhh am I missing something, what the fuck is that?
To me that’s a super old school way of saying PSY. Esham ALWAYS says “psycopatchik”
maybe it comes from carnival of carnicks. The fuck is a CARNICK??? hahahaa
