I know this might be a long shot but y’all remember how the box set was supposed to come out in December and it got put on hold supposedly for copyright or some shit idk but maybe since August 31 2014 marks the 10th anniversary of hells pit the last card in the series maybe that’lI be the release date and I feel like they might do something special for it any thoughts???

I don’t think so Tim. They didn’t do anything for the 20th anniversary of Carnage so I highly doubt they do anything for the 10th anniversary of Hell’s Pit. I think the box set is another one of those projects that will be forever talked about but never happen. I suspect they shy away from these things because it reminds everyone that they’re getting older and when they’re trying to grow the audience among the younger crowd, reminding them how old ICP is doesn’t really help the cause.

Im sure if they were releasing it in 2 months they would be hyping it…
I hope the box they showed was just a prototype and Dog Beats wouldnt be the bonus, what happened to unreleased tracks from each era? Thats always the best parts of forgotten freshness

im sure they would love to release the boxset. im just thinking its a label issue with Island and the other labels from the past that actually own the albums
if its not that. maybe they are trying to make a dvd with it or find hidden gems we never got to hear. that would be nice. i think a documentary on the joker cards would be nice. ICP needs a new documentary. we havent had shit since the shockumentary.

ya major labels dont like to give artists their masters. you have to make millions for them to even consider it. major labels need every penny they can make. so im sure they dont wanna let go of stuff like “riddble box” “milenko” and “jeckyl bros” cuz they still make money off those. Its gotta be a huge issue trying to get the rights back to them or even purchasing the masters back. and it could be difficult getting diff labels to all be on the same page releasing them all as a set cuz all the labels would need a cut out of the money

Anyways, sounds like it’s coming out at the gathering. Anyone remember last year’s seminar when ICP seemed surprised that it wasn’t out yet? Like they had been told that there was a release date and they had assumed that it had come out, and whoever was in charge of all that didn’t feel the need to tell them that shit got fucked up.
