Alright, alright...it's time to move this thing away from centaur porn, as much as I hate to do that....lol.
Shhh! I picked up Abominationz on Friday from the local mom and pops record shop and have been giving it a listen over the past few days.
Just wanted to give you kudos, Mr. Strange. The quality is great and gives me a chance to play around with the different sound system settings in my car. Each time I adjust, I hear something a little different. And I don't think I've ever heard anything of this caliber in terms of overall production and engineering from Psy since the Wraith. (Don't get me wrong, MDP is up there for me, though, with Mike Clark killing it, as always.)
The piano and instrumentals in general are just flat-out haunting and beautiful. I'm also a big fan of how the female vocalists sound in particular. It's always an interesting mesh to hear a female voice alongside the sometimes ubermasculine and always ultra-aggressive Twiztid, which only started on a serious level but a few records back. Right now, "Lift Me Up" and "LDLHA..." are the two standout tracks for me in terms of overall production and quality. In some ways, they're reminiscent of Recovery in that it's not typical to hear a Twiztid track that "takes us to chUch"; but, then again, there's always been a track like "Renditions of Reality" here and there to bring things back to that soulful place.
And if I could sum things up in a word (strictly speaking in terms of the feel of the music and the instrumentals), it would be just that: soulful. Lotta soul in this.
All in all, this is a great record. I'm sure as time goes on I'll come to appreciate it more and more.
So...props. And lots of halloween treats and non-centaur-related goodies for you! Cheers!

Thank you Rachel! It was only one female, Her name is Bree and she's a very sibilant singer, It took some work to get her Esses within an acceptible range. I wish I had a different mic for her to use while we were recording but its whatever.

Unstoppable and Lift Me Up are working up to being my favorite songs from Twiztid.
Unstoppable (Down Here) and Lift Me Up are both favorites of mine as well, Unstoppable sounds really fuckin good to me, Its a really empty beat for the most part and that allowed me to push the envelope in mixing. I can really eq the shit out of drums when theres not a shit load of instruments conflicting with the drums frequency range. That song is really the epitome of a good rap/hiphop mix.

Which song do you think I spent the most time mixing? and which song do you think I spent the least time mixing?
I think you spent the most time mixing Bad Side (or maybe Extension Chords) and the least time mixing Coin Flip Lunatic.
And Joe, which track(s) on the album is your personal favorite?

I totally had to google "sibilant." LOL!
Get schooled, ninjas!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibilant
Oh and I'd go with Bad Side for most time and (aside from the skits) coin flip lunatic, maybe?

I don't know if you had to do anything with the Charles Manson sample on Lift Me Up but it must have been a bitch to make it sound that good.
Fuck, that IS Manson, isn't it? I remember back when Twiztid had that "Go to Hell" web show and they would show interviews with him and ish.
I know this has the potential to take us down the rabbit...err...Centaur hole again, but...Manson kind of makes sense on some shit, don't he? He's at least inspirational at points...Or maybe I'm just fascinated with the cult of personality in general. After all, I am an ICP fan. Lol.
So...what do we win if we guess correctly, Joe?
