Since Facebook comments and Twitter posts are filled with garbage and incoherent rants, and there’s 5 topics here with random replies in each, I think 1 topic dedicated to the civilized discussion of the new ICP interview is fair.
Mainly, what are your thoughts and bullet point highlights of the interview?
- It seems that Twiztid is fueled by money, to a large extent. I won’t go out on a limb and say “money more than family” but it sure does seem that way at times. They run a new label, so that’s understandable. It was obvious with the constant pushes of Twiztid-Shop and merch explosions but this interview kind’ve confirms that.
- The whole thing with the large contracts and requesting of masters, and how they wanted to divide Juggalo Day with separate sets but no Dark Lotus, speaks for itself without a doubt.
- I’m curious as to what masters were given to Twiztid, besides Freek Show and Mutant (I’m assuming). What tour EP did they receive?
- I always thought the constant “jabs and slap in the faces” was simply a part of Twiztid’s attitude and “humor” sort of. It reminded me of when HOK would replace ICP flyers back in the ‘90s, although they still liked them. But this interview and Madrox denying that ever happened via Twitter made me change my mind.
- I think it’s a good thing that ICP stated they’re not hunting Otis. I can understand Myzery and his camp’s anger. Although they probably are looking for a small bit of publicity, people forget that e-thugs and online threats can indeed lead to the real thing. I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of an Otis ass whooping.
- It’s been said many times before, but an interview or statement from Twiztid needs to happen. Although, how can they defend themselves at this point? I think if anything, they can reveal the “big screw ups” that Psychopathic did. It wouldn’t be surprising if they completely ignore it though, but who knows?
- In addition, there has to be a unified reason for Twiztid, Blaze, R.O.C., Boondox, and Otis to all leave the label. I’m sure each one has their own little reasons (obviously) but there has to be one thing that sticks out. Maybe Billy Bill is involved in that matter, or former employees?
- I don’t want to speak too much about the Otis situation, but J and Jumpsteady catching Otis inside Samantha’s house asleep with his shirt off, and then blatantly lying about banging her moments after, kind of sets his personality in stone.
- I wonder what ICP’s overall reaction to their own catalog being covered in Otis’ scent is now. They’ve got Lost, Found, Outtakes, Killjoy Club, and Phantom with Otis all over it, plus the AMB records and his solo album. I don’t see them pulling another Marz cover up (rerecording the first Dark Lotus album with ABK), it’s just too much music. But what are their reflections on the music, specifically? I’m also curious if Shaggy’s new album has any trace of Otis left on it.
- That picture of Otis with Twiztid in an MNE jersey was my first time seeing it. As J was describing how it was “gross” and whatnot, I could totally understand his viewpoint, just looking at Otis’ face. They just seem so out of place due to them hating each other since the beginning of time. J’s homo scenario was used perfectly.
- It’s reasonable that Twiztid shouldn’t have to come crawling to a meeting whenever J says so. They’re standing alone and aren’t on the label anymore. But why have George do all the talking for them? It doesn’t seem like it’s Jumpsteady & George, or Billy Bill & George. It’s mainly J & George. So why can’t it be ICP & Twiztid discussing things? Not even from a business standpoint, but also from an old friendship point.
- It’s kind of dumb that J brought up that old running gag of wanting Twiztid to spit bars on a new artist’s song. If they don’t like Blahzay, then so be it. A lot of people don’t. I can see what he’s saying, but his wording and his approach wasn’t too good.
- What are your thoughts about the new group that ICP is in? They said it wouldn’t be mind blowing at first, but after it’s heard, it’s supposed to split wigs.
- I’m wondering which new artist might be on Psychopathic. It seems like a group and not just a solo act. If they’re also waiting for the drama to pass, then it can’t be someone closely affiliated with the hatchet world. Maybe someone like Onyx or Cypress Hill?
- The 4th Joker’s Card is going to be nuts. I think it might be their angriest one yet.
- Vanilla Ice is dope and I respect him even more now. But why does he say that he’s still signed to Psychopathic, yet haven’t been included or mentioned on anything whatsoever for years now? Maybe this whole drama plus the March will change things.
- In conclusion, I can understand how 2017 is “the big 17” and everyone needs to “shine brightly and face their goals.” I have a different take. Yeah sure, it’s going to rain diamonds and whatnot, but has everyone forgot that diamonds usually have a sharp and rough edge to it? If it rains diamonds, then it’s going to hurt quite a bit. I think the end result and entering 2018 without a huge scratch is the absolute payoff, and is the overall goal of “the big 17.” Has anyone else thought this way as well?
Sorry for the long post, and it’s actually quite unfortunate that this drama is creating a lot of discussion. It does put a lot of things in a new light though. The overall reflections will be the lesson learned in the end, and I’m sure there is more to come…

About #7, there really doesn’t need to be a unified reason if you think it through. Blaze and ROC were always a part of Twiztid’s camp from the beginning so them leaving with Twiztid was to be expected. Boondox has been sketchy for years now when it comes to his loyalties so him jumping ship really shouldn’t surprise anyone (remember when he got “hacked”). I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he doesn’t end up bouncing from MNE is a few years time. Otis’s situation was obviously very unique and we all know all the details we need on that one. So really, there’s really no big mystery surrounding any of that, other than Twiztid leaving in the first place.

To the OP: I don’t get your point 14. Why does waiting for the beef to fire down mean they aren’t close to it? Shit, it could be Spanish side who decided that they didn’t want it to seem like they got signed because of the beef. It could literally be anybody. I don’t think it’ll be anybody who is already big though. The way they talked about it, they want another protege type. Another twiztid or blahzay or amb.
As for the group they are in? Probably just a label sized super group.
I for one hope it is more than that. Maybe that planned panic that they talked about doing with tech. Maybe something mystical like lotus.

And really, twiztid leaving is obvious. They got egos, like all of us, and don’t like being “number two”. There’s no shame in that game. After 20 years, you gotta expect that they wanna do their own shit and not answer to their peers. Not have to ask permission.
ETA: oh and if all this is because of twiztids masters, fucking give them to them. I realize that it’s basically money in the bank but shit. Fuck em. Keep all the lotus shit but hand over anything of twiztid, blaze, and young wicked. Or sell em on eBay. It would suck to lose the income of whatever twiztid shit brings in but maybe psy needs to lose some money and hurt over this.
Burn their relationship to the ground. Salt the earth. Then MOVE THE FUCK ON. start dropping shit. Rebuild your empire..
And let young wicked do his thing. They should want him out there getting paid so samantha can get a court order on some child support. Let his ass become a millionaire so that he has to put her ass up.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

I hope she does in fact do that. Hit that son of a bitch and get as much child support out of him as possible.
