As someone who always loved Mike E Clarkes production from Ringmaster to AJB, and someone who also has a love for sampling and break beats myself – I’ve put together this small remixtape blending some of my own productions with the acapellas from a handful of songs from the Mighty Death Pop.

That Night of the Chainsaw mix has the sickest vibes. I dig it. However, the drum track is weak. Add some bass in there. Needs a little groove to smooth it out.

What program do you use?

I would Run the break beats threw

a compressor and enhance them a bit more. They are being drowned out. 

When “digging in the crates” especially for them obscure breaks, Its coming from a Lo-Fi source so its pretty much a giving you gotta add that push behind it.

Its obvious you know how to master a track, great job by the way on that. It does not sound amateurish at all.

I use an MPC 2000 and Logic 9 x Maschine. I go back and forth between the 2. These were all done on Logic. Thanks for the feedback, guys. I might try and flesh them out some more over the weekend and see how it turns out.
