A little early, but fuck it. There hasn't been one in two weeks.
- The Harvest
- Crystal Skull
So here we go with Episode 3!
We got the two debut albums Boondox & Big Hoodoo. Now they’re totally different artists with different styles, but I figured this would be a good poll.
I gotta go with Hoodoo all day. While I loved The Harvest, Crystal Skull is just a more gritty polished album. Definitely a stronger debut IMO.

It would be hard to scrape the bottom of the barrel as hard as Crystal Skull. I bought it the day it dropped, listened once, and that was it. I have had no desire to replay it even once. It sucks ass. Combine that with Legs Diamond, this was probably the worst year for PSY releases yet. If you like this stuff, good for you. I can’t even fake it.
The Harvest had more replay value but I can’t vote for a pill popper with a good concious. I have zero respect for Boondox. He played the Hatchet out for dope, that’s pretty sad. He reminds me of the meth heads I’ve known, a country fried junkie. No, I can’t vote for a fool who played himself that hard. He is no role model he’s the type of person Juggalos used to clown on.

Big Hoodoo, easily. I like Big Hoodoo. Boondox is a whiney little bitch who said someone hacked my twitter because I can’t be a man and own up to it because when I drink I cry like a bitch cause I can’t handle my liquor type of pussy ass faggot. Whah whah whah, I get so lonely in Detroit, no one wants to play with me. Oh yeah, his music fuckin sucks too. Sucks as a person, sucks as an artist, sucks in concert. I hate all Southern hip hop though, but even if I did, I wouldn’t like Boondox, he’s too much of a whiney little pussy. And just what kind of a name is Turncoat Dirty anyway? Seriously

Guest and Pat, I have to agree with you here. I’m less harsh about it overall, as I enjoy some of his tunes, but y’all read my mind. I was thinking just last night about how Dox was doing to scapegoat thing by shifting his “retirement” from PSY on them. It was all his own personal problems.
This makes one wonder about a lot of the other PSY dissing ex employees. How valid are the claims? I’m positive many are, but perhaps there’s more junkies lurking than we see.
I also have no respect for junkies.
But, like pedophile Michael Jackson, racist Axl Rose, and assholish personalities like Monoxide, I still love lots of the music. What a conundrum.

Harvest no contest. I never gave my opinion on hoodoo here. I couldnt finish the album.
I cant agree with yall on the junkie argument either, because most of my very favorite musicians have been junkies…Bradley Nowell, Johnny Cash, Layne Staley, Elvis, Morrison etc etc

I also enjoy some MUSICIANS who heavily abuse drugs. Here’s the difference, for me at least: A rapper is using thier voice and mind for an instrument. I can’t respect what you have to say if pills are your priority. People who play instruments get a pass because I’m just listening to thier playing, not thier ideas. A rapper puts too much of his personality in his music for me to ignore character flaws. I just can’t respect what you have to say.
A lot of people use drugs. I don’t really judge people who can be functional addicts. That’s not my issue. Boondox crossed the line when he QUIT HIS JOB, AT THE HATCHET, over drugs. That’s not a functional addict at all, that’s the textbook definition of an addict. He’s a loser, strait up. He had it all, and threw it away to get high. Then like pretty much every other junkie he came crawling back when the dope ran out. Chump.
