Just saw this on twitter and it’s straight up bullshit. Where the fuck is the money grab? Can ICP do ONE thing without someone playing the greed card? Putting out two albums is money hungry? Making an album takes a lot of hard work; what the fuck is greedy about working for your money? Releasing this Joker’s Card this way is different. Different from any way they’ve ever released something before. After 25 years do you realize how fucking difficult it is to come up with something you’ve never done before? They’re trying SO hard to keep this shit entertaining for us and this is what they get in return. Yeah they’re money hungry alright! They’re so money hungry that they’ve built a career out of being unpopular. Great plan to make some dough, boys! You almost had us all fooled but you didn’t fool the crafty cat who drew this picture! He sees right through you! Give me a fucking break. Selling albums isn’t even the name of the game anymore; now it’s about reenforcing your brand, and doing stuff like this keeps them relevant. They could release one cd or 10 cd’s, it’s not going to change the amount of ticket sales or merchandise sold. Nobody’s spending any money against their will. If this was the fucking government and they forced you to buy ICP shit with your taxes or something that would be a different story. Fuck this prick. And if anyone here disagrees with me I’m happy to respectfully debate the issue.

That was made by the same page who, just a couple of days ago, was bitching that neither Psychopathic nor MNE will give them press passes to their shows. Hmm…I wonder why!! haha I think the page is generally funny as hell, but stuff like that puts a big X on your forehead as far as being “press” goes.

around the time i quit reading em, comics in general turned to every absurd gimmick you could possibly think of. design, story, material, marketing, et cetera ad nauseum. much bigger money drain, considering that most people never read the things anyway.
