Concernitance… Good word!

I don’t mind their religious aspects. The whole “Carnival is god” thing wasn’t really a shocker to anyone was it lol? I knew what I was listening to and didn’t mind at all. All of their root concepts are the basic “good stuff=good things happen, bad stuff=bad things happen because god” that they then build the song/album themes off of. I’ve always been okay with it because they’re not just saying the basics, they’re attaching something unique and atmospheric to it. My concern (hesitance might be the right word…dunno. Concerned-hesitance maybe?) My concernitance for this album is that they might have forgotten to do the second part. That’s the part I’m in this for. Escapism. Without that part, it just becomes motivational speaking. 

it’s not quite motivational speaking but there’s not nearly as much escapism as you put it as there are on previous Joker Cards…kind of somewhere in the middle…like there’s still over the top ridiculous lyrics about slaughtering bigots and whatnot…it’s ICP even when they say the album has no humor its gonna have humor because its ICP…its just not really a goofy humor so much as a darker humor and I would say overall the tone of the album is more serious then the either goofy or ultra spooky/wicked shit they’ve done previously…feels like it was definitely recorded around the time Reindeer Games was and that they were still kind of in that mode creatively…aside from some lazy lyrics here and there and the few overly preachy parts mentioned above I like it though

Don’t ask how, it’s called the internet. Just know tiat I did and holy fuck this album was good. It didn’t really have a new school or old school sound to it, for me it seemed completely different than the last two ” jokers cards ” 

 

This isn’t a review or anything… this is how i feel about the album. it’s fucking good! if you don’t think it is you’re just looking to hate because you hate everything new (like most juggalos) and i totally agree. for the most part, the new stuff does suck. But this album totally shocked me, i think because i was going into it with low expectations from what they have been releasing lately. 

 

I think you all will like it or at least think its awesome. J and Shaggy both came with their hearts on this one, the deep songs are incredible. like ” falling apart ” and ” how ” just mind blowing tracks to me. 

 

The clowns delivered, there was only one song I didn’t like and that was ” Vomit ” I’m not trying to hype it up for you guy’s I’m just saying y’all are gonna love this cd. 

I liked Vomit. Sure the chorus is lazy, but the sound is right and the clip at the beginning is awesome

I was surprised to hear the clip at the beginning of Vomit.  Its a Bob Larson exorcism clip and yes, when you hear J say NINE – that part has been overdubbed onto the clip itself.  But, having that clip from Bob Larson and his “exorcism” ministry, for me, put that song over the top for me – just little things such as that, at least for me, just give a song that extra touch

First of all, yes – you can tell its J when he says NINE – it was overdubbed, as I said, onto the clip.  The exorcism clip is taken from one of Bob Larsons exorcism retreats that he does – Here is his website – https://www.boblarson.org/  Obviously, I am not that dumb to think that J is really possessed, but what I am saying is that the part where you hear the “demon voice” talk back, yes, that “demon voice” is J saying NINE – but the clip itself, just the clip you hear in the beginning and even after the NINE part – is Bob Larson

I heard this album front to back.. and I must say…. this album will be lost in my CD book.  This is way off.  chorus’s are bad, songs are pretty bad. im still gonna listen to this again, just for the hell of it, but I can say its VERY different. im not used to ICP sounded this way on these beats.  it just sounds rushed. maybe if it was on better beats… maybe.   I thought Death Pop was bad, and 3/4 grew on me, so maybe there is hope, but from what ive heard… disappointed.

maybe because im not lost? idk…. I hope found is better

So I listened to it and it’s really good but I only have one concern, they never acknowledge the missing link as an actual being. Violent J and Shaggy never bring up how it’s the third jokers card of the second deck and as a result it feels like a normal album and lacks the feeling a joker card brings with it. This acknowledgment of the jokers cards are all present in the original 6. BPB and MDP both acknowledge these cards as being entities but do not bring up how they are jokers cards. The Missing link lost does neither of these and takes away from the entire joker card feel. Great album, but I feel as if it’s a normal album with a jokers card face slapped on the cover. I did pre order the album on hatchet gear so I felt like I could morally listen to the album pre maturely. However, this is only one half of the card so we will see. Again, amazing album and this small detail I crave shouldn’t stop you from buying it.

perhaps the Missing Link will make its real appearance once its found…like this Lost album was basically about trying to find the missing link so once its found (on the “Found” album) I think we may get more of an actual character…who knows though

if the outro at the end is any indication, Found is gonna be on some Diamond Rain/Shangri La type shit (mellow and happy as fuck) but we’ll see how it turns out…personally I like their mellow/laidback stuff so I’ll be peeping Found for sure

I for one, don’t think Found is gonna have the Shangri-La type vibe. Although it might be obvious, since Lost is about finding beliefs and trying to find a path, what if Found took a twist, and is about finding what shouldn’t be found? What if it’s even darker than this album? The entities are suppose to be tricksters in general, so I don’t think ICP is gonna take the obvious route for Found. I just don’t think an upbeat and heavenly Card is ready to be released quite yet…

Yep exactly. Thus why the abrupt ending to Lost, and faint laughter. Damn I wish both albums were released on the same day lol.
