So like the title says, Are we still gang members? I tried to google search it but couldnt find anything. I recently moved to a new state (Cali to Washington state) and I would hate to put a hatchetman on my car only to get arrested or some shit (even though i have nothing “gang-ish” about me.. im a mom of a special needs child and i work in a bank for fuck sake lol)

I live in Washington and my old car had a hatchetman on it and I was pulled over a few times for it. They always said I had “a brake light out” but I never really did. They just wanted to run my shit.

Yes, hence the Juggalo March. But I was thinking, how “funny” is that? All the FBI has to do is come onto these boards and be like “oh…Juggalos aren’t gang members, they’re nerds.”

It seems like the answer is “yes” and “no”. From what I can find the FBI don’t have us listed anywhere. The closest I can find is a report from 2011 https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/stats-services-publications-2011-national-gang-threat-assessment-2011-national-gang-threat-assessment-emerging-trends/view (page 22). So, on a Federal level, no, probably not. However, unless your state is completely up to date and actively follows along (probably not the case) with the situation they’re still using that 2011 report and you’re considered a gang member to them. Which means they’re probably not going to arrest you for being a Juggalo but being a Juggalo once their radar is already on you is certainly going to hurt.

Basically, if you’re already a target for cops for whatever reason in your state, Juggalos are a gang. If you’re not suspect than Juggalos aren’t a gang, ya know?

At least that’s my understanding of it.

I plan on calling the Michigan chapter of the ACLU on Monday and asking about that status of their case.

Just because it is not stated on a federal level does not mean each specific state cannot classify juggalos as a gang. So in Washington State they could very well be a gang and in Idaho it may not be. It can be broken down into cities as well. Seattle could be out for gangster juggalos as to where Spokane Washington could care less lol

Mayyyybbbeee mother fuckers should stop committing crimes. Take some fucking responsibility. Thats what nobody ever mentions. You dont get locked up for having a sticker on your car.

Not hating on criminals. Im one myself sometimes. If Im riding around on expired tags I take that risk and I know the consequences.

Im also not saying that nobody was unfairly descriminated against. Im sure there are some fringe cases. This music tends to draw in poor white trash. No other way around it. Sure we got doctors and programmers and teachers, but if youve been to a gathering you fucking know better. These cats think its acceptable to ask your girl if they can see her titties right in front of you. There are a bunch of great people, but i think icp and hardcore family juggalos downplay all the scumbags we have. This aint a few rotten apples. We have a dickload of em. Its the nature of the beast. Poor people tend to commit crimes and thats what icp draws in for the most part

OP has nothing to worry about no matter where she goes cuz she aint a criminal. She will be fine

That depends, Slum. She could possibly get fired if they think she is a gang member and maybe have her child taken away.

Here, juggalos are on the list. I rarely see any severe cases of people getting fucked with over it though. Also, here juggalos have earned it. It’s not about criminal juggalos that give the culture a bad name, it’s about criminal juggalos that stick in groups. Juggalos that hang out together to tag fences or start fights. Juggalos that hear lyrics like “If you see another juggalo about to get into a fight, that’s your fight because we stick together” and take that shit to heart. Combine that with a law enforcement dealing with groups of juggalos committing these gang like crimes trying to understand what the whole thing is and you realize that this is not a case of our government trying to censor anybody. It’s a case of a confused government trying to identify a culture that has problems finding it’s own identity. Until that is understood I don’t see a change coming. Especially with the militant lies coming right out of J’s mouth about how juggalos are the most charitable or how juggalos never get into fights. I’ve seen juggalos fight at concerts before.

Thats why i said fringe cases. I know it depends. You think a soccer mom or dad is going to do anything to put them in that position in the first place? I already know people will be fuming when they read what i wrote. I stand by it. Dont wanna be treated like a criminal, dont do criminal shit.

Go to a regular concert though and the amount of fights is a lot higher especially rap concerts. I get what J is saying he isn’t saying we are saints but misunderstood for sure. That shit Slummerican posted is spot on. 1. Don’t do criminal shit and youll be straight and 2. The way Juggalos like to be perceived as is bullshit. I get a huge portion of Juggalos bought into the scrub life shit ICP preached throughout the whole saga but at the same time look at them. They were scrubs but have they not evolved into rocking multi thousand dollar chains and setting goals to buying houses? This is a huge reason I bought into the rydaz, its about getting yours and ballin! This is another reason I never really kick it Juggalos except a select few and at shows because the don’t know how to act and don’t keep it moving to better themselves. Im so nervous about going to the match, I cant front. I want it to be such a good showing for us and im hoping that only the Rydaz show and conduct themselves in a professional fashion. Hopefully many wont be able to afford to go so only legit, clean, showered and educated Juggalos show. If not its going to be all bad. The last show in RENO NV was the Riddlebox tour and there was some Juggalo there hours before the show at like 1:00 in the afternoon and he was drunk as FUCK throwing Faygo over everyone and getting that shit on my car. I was about to murder this kid I remember thinking…WTF, this is the reason we look like fucking white trash and bums. Its 1:00 and this dude csnt stand and I can smell him 5 feet away hahahah. We need to start holding other Juggalos to a higher standard instead of accepting a status of scrubs and mediocracy lol. Probably preaching to nobody on this one but you never know.

Ugh, This makes me so upset… back in the day I had like 3 hatchetman stickers on my car, a bunch of other psy artists stickers and a JRCC/HRCC sticker (heres me showing my age, who remembers juggalo rydas/hatchet rydas car club lol) and nothing every came of it but now since I would be “at risk” for losing my daughter and my job for just showing what i listen to, im not going to be doing it.

I guess Ill just put a strange music sticker on my car and call it a day lol.

i can personally vouch that your statement is flawed, in many different examples too. i have had so many bullshit situations with jobs and cops…which sucks cuz fucking wit your money is worse to me than some dumb “criminal” offense

to me i have seem to have been fucked with more while wearing “juggalo” attire. i present myself well in public, and give no reason to be suspected of anything…yet i still get treated like a pay day for the pigs. now, luckily, i know my rights and know how to act towards cops, while still giving them a hard time. BUT, if they were to have searched me, they might of found a lil bit of weed and a pipe and then i would have been charged with a “criminal” offense…which i feel shouldnt be a crime.

moral of the story is when i dress “plain” i dont have no problems, but when i wear a “juggalo” shirt, i get treated different every where i go, even places i went to or worked at for years.
