This is just a question I have had for while, and I figured some of you down for forever peeps (I’m talking to you @scottied ) might have some input on this. If you listen to ICP’s music, on their older shit Shaggy 2 Dope is just called 2 Dope, then about Tunnel of Love (so I thought) they started adding Shaggy to it. The new FF5 intro threw my ToL theory on it’s ass because it is from the Ringmaster Tour and it says “Shaggy 2 Dope”.
So the question is: When the fuck did they add Shaggy to Shaggy 2 Dope? Or has it always been there and they just never used it?

shaggy was used as 2 dopes nickname from Beverly kills(in the haugh! hook-“2 dope shaggys in the muthafuckin haugh!!!!”) the first official shaggy 2 dope didn’t appear in print until the riddlebox booklet I think. also 2 dope was going to release a full length after his fuck off ep titled “shaggs the clown” it was used in very few songs until late 94. in the haugh was the first mention and even then the names were not put together. it was just 2dope aka shaggy the clown

Shaggy and 2 Dope are two different people. Back in the day 2 Dope got attacked in some gang related incident and never was seen or heard from again. So along came this Shaggy dude that J kinda knew from a string of friends who had impeccable rap flows. True true story, 2 different people, the more ya know.
