I wouldn't exactly call it a cover, but yeah. It had its own original lyrics. I think it's honestly pretty funny comparing the two. Even when both are covering a pre-existing song, ICP tries something new, and Twiztid once again says "why be original when you can be better?" Jamie's singing is much more appealing than J's, but the ICP version is some goofy fun

Interesting, I will def be keeping an ear out for this one on my way home in a few hours. Might even listen to the original and both covers after I hear the whole album.

This album slaps hard. Haven't felt this level of wicked clown energy since 2002.
The only caveat(s) for me are the lines "The rich have got it no better than you; Those meant to be screwed best believe are screwed", which honestly feels like a betrayal of Carnival of Carnage. It preaches a belief that we know isn't true. Plenty of evil people have gotten away with bullshit and plenty of completely innocent people have been tortured, obstructed, scapegoated and killed. So I don't know what they were thinking of in regards to those lines.
But other than that, best album in at least a decade. They really went all in on this one; it hits harder than the actual Jokers Card (at least for me). It kind of feels like the album was laced with both the Original Deck and Second Deck in regards to sound, production, lyrics and energy. Absolutely love it. Pleasantly surprised. I usually expect EPs to be throw-aways to make money off of unused content, but ICP usually violates that expectation anyway.

I think those lines are tied to the theme of pessimism. Being at such a low that everything is in disarray, and nothing makes sense.

Imagine though. Three EPs that sound like this. It'd be like getting one pretty banger LP. And we could all pretend that YYB was something of an outtakes album. I don't even hate Yum Yum, it's just hella inconsistent.
In all honesty, I think they were aware of that and that's part of the reason why they planned on seeding the album with three additional EPs (pun intended). 4 if you count Lure.
I'm considering Lure, Bedlam and the three Seeds the complete album experience.
