Very intriguing, I think this could either way. Young Wicked is extremely talented no doubt as both an mc and a producer, and there’s some stuff on the sampler that sounds really good. But, I’m worried that he’s so focused on showing off his mic skills and showing that he fits in that it’s only gonna end up being skin deep, with no real heart or persona behind it.
We’ll see though, I’m definitely psyched to check this out when it drops.

The only issue I have with the singing is when he interrupts his verses with singing. “Dope” is the shit, but It’s a bit annoying.
That being said. He lacks the ange in his voice that he had in God’s Hand. BUT this is really cool too.
Unless Hatchetgear has somethimg really rad that comes wit the pre-order (more than a little bullshit slip case), I’ll be buying it on Amazon. I like getting my shit on time.

God’s Hand is a beast of a record. It’s always been one of my favorites. I know there’s a group of y’all who believe garcia brothers is their best, but if you haven’t heard God’s Hand, you haven’t heard AMB at their best IMO.
I wasn’t overly impressed with AMBs lastalbum, but i am curious about this Otis solo project. Looks cool.

I like God’s Hand. its a good album, but garcia brothers is technically alot further along than than gods hand, yeah its not as angry but they have definitely kicked up their game.
still cannot wait for slaughter though.

I think that’s what the difference is, the level of aggression in the voice, beats, lyrics etc. It’s really noticeable when you compare garcia bros to gods hand.
I guess i just appreciate the aggression more because i can relate to it. It seems to be more about rapping as fast as possible now, so fast that you can barely make out what they say. Some people may like that, but it’s not really plus for me. That’s like part of the reason why I’mkind of meh with garcia bros: it’s all about rapping faster than the speed of light instead of that relatable aggression I’m much more drawn to.

They used to come the Saturday before release. Now they get sent to a sorting facility and don’t get shipped out til release day. Part of me is curious if this is why they changed release days to Friday instead of Tuesday Amazon lets you download it at 10pm the day before release, though.

His verse on “Rambo” was good though. Not the same as God’sHand, but it brought back that anger that drew me to AMB. Garcia Brothers is good, but not God’s Hand good.

That shit can’t be any farther from the truth. But then again, the past 3 years, Otis has really imptoved n showed his worth. Bonez might have the same potential but he’s probably allowing his brother to get the light, and down the road, he will too. At that point, both will be sonically solid and embraced. Good plan on their part.

I honestly don’t know about Bonez. As far as AMB goes, he’s just kind of there. Most of his lyrics sound lazy. Especially compared to Otis. People keep asking about his solo album, but I honestly don’t think I could listen to it entirely in one sitting. A verse from Bonez is good, but an entire album of him and his voice would put me to sleep.
J wouldn’t get rid of Bonez. He knows pretty well that OT would bail too.
But it would be nice to see him improve and take some notes from his brother.

^This, I’ve been saying this for years. God’s Hands is one of my favorite PSY releases of all time. Body in a Hole and Garcia Bros’ fell flat for me. I’ll be checking Slaughter out for sure though.

On second thought, i might just skip slaughter. Because this sounds similar to garcia brothers. And that was just meh to me. I could use the money i spend on this to buy food or a pack of smokes.
