It’s called synchronicity. People who exist in the same culture and consume the same media and work in similar fields often have ideas that are similar.
Example:
A British writer who has an interest in fantasy publishes a book that’s part of a series about a boy who finds out he has the potential to be the world’s most powerful wizard. Magic is real and exists in the hidden parts of London where with his pet owl he will learn the truth about his destiny.

Eh, stranger things have happened. I’m not one to call out “biter” just because something smells kinda fishy. Maybe if they throw a few disses to him in tracks, but right now? eh.
