Can you recommend me some Psychopathic albums. I got all the jokers card (EXCEPT MILENKO AND ID LOVE IF SOMEONE COULD EMAIL ME A DOWNLOAD LINK), bizzar/bizaar, krimson creek, SOH, the harvest, native funk, 1 less g in the hood.
Just shoot me some cool albums. I used to have like every fuckin album but my flash drive got stolen.

yeah I support the artists I enjoy and buy physical copies. nothing like a new cd to open and explore. also I cry a little every day in preparation for the death of the compact disc. goddamn technology! always upgrading!

CDs suck ass but they are superior to a flash drive full of mp3s. Compared to other media though, they are pale and I will be happy to see the format retired to legacy status. My advice to original poster is to buy your music. If you had all that shit on a flash drive it kind of implies you stole it to begin with. Embrace your karma and cry not. If you are on a budget, I recommend you stream music on youtube. You can listen for free and decided for yourself what is awesome. Happy hunting.

May I ask what the difference is between streaming on youtube and downloading? After all you can just make a playlist and put it on a smart phone.
I still buy physical cd's just like I still buy physical novels. As inconvenient as they are I just can't let go. Same thing with newspapers..You can just google and get news instantly that isn't yesterdays news, but there is something about holding that paper in your hand...

I was advising poster to buy music as opossed to stealing it. I pointed out that if he was on a budget, he could stream, but yes, downloading and streaming are very similar. No difference between the two, I was just advising the legal route.
I am not bashing physical media either. I love media. I have a large collection of vinyl, cassettes, tape reels, CDs, dvd audio, all that shit. I love hardcopys. I just think CDs are flawed. They sound like shit, have no ambient noise and they scratch easily. I have a laundry list of reasons I dislike compact discs, but if you saw my media library, you would understand I take this shit very seriously.
Newspapers and other ephemera are on the way out. Horribly inefficent, waste of trees. Print media is a dinosaur compared to online media. Its a great way to get yesterdays news tomorrow. Fail.

two things:
one; if by 'ambient noise' you mean, just plain noise, i agree. also, no wow or flutter.
and, id say that vinyl scratches just as easily, its just that the scratches tend to be more transient.
some people have those 'analog ears', given that, vinyl is the only acceptable substitute for cd quality.
this is not shittalk, i myself have not gotten rid of any of my vinyl, cassettes, etc. hell, ive still got about a hundred twenty or so beta tapes sitting around. those are extra useless.

Not advising against downloading because of artist loyalty or because of any lost royalites. I don't have an opinion on that and could not care less. Simply advising poster to buy music because owning a physical copy is a better experience in my opinion. I have seen every South Park, thanks for your quaint suggestioin. I can in fact, watch them whenever I want because I bought the discs. Hardcopies for life!

Beat me to it...For the record guest, im not trying to talk shit either here. I know the media is outdated...Difference is I will always have my collection of books. If the world goes to shit tomorrow, then that kindle you have(not you specifically) or that iphone is all going to be fucking paperweight. At least with cd's you'd be good to go until your batteries run out.
I just have a love/hate relationship with technology period I guess. You would think it would bring us all together, but one quick look at the comment section of youtube will tell you where we are as a society

if your a fan of the artist support them and buy the album. yes I do download them but that's only because I cant wait for the release date but on the day the album drops I purchase it. so go buy the shit you need and if you don't want to waste space box that shit up and throw it in the attic, then if you happen to lose it its there waiting for you to transfer it over to your favorite listening device.

You people were brainwashed by Lars. Besides, some of the old shit this guy is talking about isn't even owned by ICP/PSY, so they'd rather you steal it. While I wouldn't waste my time sending you download links, I fully endorse downloading music. Just google that shit, a lot of people have created blogspot websites with HUNDREDS of albums to download.
