Anyone else think “Daises” sounds like it could be off Opaque Brotherhood and “Shooting Stars” off Hell's Pit? Maybe it's just me.

Who knows, they are both different tracks. Shooting Stars had a good beat and all, don't think it was Hells Pit material though. I mean, it could have, maybe it actually was a Hells Pit track?

Idk man Daisies is just too new of a track to sound like it would belong on Opaque Brotherhood,The beat does kinda remind me of lotus tho. Its a great song and all, and shooting stars reminds me of Hells pit when i first heard it but its got its due time right where its at,On The Mighty Death Pop.

i bet there will be a “shooting stars part 2” on the next release and will involve another artist or artists. kinda like “i stab people” and “still stabbin”. “daisies” is one of my favorite tracks on the album. the hook is very very very good, plus the whole concept is the shit reminds me of “Wall-E” the pixar movie. damn i love me some pixar movies…..i also think shaggy has been ripping shit since bangpowboom…

Shaggy was ripping it on the Tempest IMO too…would like to see what u suggested happen with Shooting Stars as I also felt the song was way too short and shouldn’t have been just focused on Chris Brown but a bunch of celebs in general…to focus an entire song on him defeats the purpose of the lyrics “he beat the hell out his woman, and they still on his nuts”…that was a year or two ago and ICP’s still bringing it up on their new album in 2012…same with the Dog the Bounty Hunter thing though that song was hilarious so I can’t even hate on it…just wish Shooting Stars had been longer and about more ppl than just Chris Brown

I agree songs sound like they’re from said albums. Daisies is dope, but I disagree about the hook being that great, I think it’s the weakest part of that song. And shooting stars is one of my least favorites from this release, it’s too short, they should have gone after more celebrities, but then it woulda seemed like “shock and awe” all over again.

agreed about the Daisies chorus being the weak part of the song…reminded me of some Tenacious D type lyrics “oh muthafucka look its a daisy, yeah muthafucka look its a daisy” or w/e…i do like the song though aside from the vocals being too low

its about the world being dead, all life except for the man(as far as he knows) is gone. dead, dusty and shitty. he is at the end of his own hope for carrying on until he sees a yellow dot in the distance. turns out to be a daisy, gives him hope life will return. cool shit imo…could be taken as a metaphore for never giving up or whatever u want…nah mean?

I guess so but I can't even really make out the lyrics except for the chorus naw mean naw mean? I just hear bass and thats really it with some faint low vocals.

pushing up daisies in a sense…its a phrase when a person dies that they're pushing up daisies…in this case the world itself is dead and gone basically and all life is just in decay and yet a daisy in the distance brings him hope to survive and keep going…saying the phrase pushing up daisies is actually meant to mean that when a person dies its only to bring new life into the world?

About that,Its been 3 yrs in the making for TMDP,Yeah those 2 subjects alone were two years ago and they probably wrote those 2 tracks 2 yrs ago. even if it made headlines 2 yrs ago,None of us had a clue they would make songs about chris brown or dawg the bounty hunter.

I agree just saying it does feel like old news a bit though it was still fun to hear ICP's viewpoint on it…would have just liked to hear more MODERN topics as far as real current stuff but I know ICP really doesn't work like that at least not anymore so I respect it…great album nonetheless

Chris benoit sounds nothing like the rest of tmdp. It’s more old school. J shouldn’t have described Chris Brown’s death like that. A blow gun. He should have brutally murdered him openly for the cams then turned on Gaga and definitely that fag beiber. Daisies is the shit at all times. Yes it does remind me of opaque a little. But that guitar shit on the “hook” (fucking douche bags) is the ballz.
