This may sound like a silly question, but I'm curious to know if Bizzar and Bizaar are considered a double album or two separate albums. What I mean by this is, is one of them specifically "part 1" and the other specifically "part 2?"

Just curious to know if ICP intended for them to be listened to back to back in a specific order.

I know that Bizaar is the first of the two albums if you go by catalog number, although in Violent J's book who always writes Bizzar first.

If anyone can shed some light on the subject, it'd be appreciated. I've always thought of them as two separate albums as they both have their own intros and outros, so it doesn't really seem like one album is supposed to be the continuation of the other, but I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's just one album on 2 discs. They came out on the same day, Twiztid's freekshow dropped that day too.

So which disc starts the album and which disc ends it?

I believe it's the one with the question marks on it that starts it my friend. Could be wrong, that's just how I always took it.

Ok, that makes a lot of sense. I just listened to the intros for each album and it definitely sounds like the "eyes" disc is continuing where the "question marks" disc leaves off, as far as the stories being told in the intros.

The 2 albums were originally going to be 1 album, however ICP was not happy at Island records, they had to make so many albums before they should get out of their contract so they released it as 2 separate albums so they could get out of Island sooner. The big thing was they did not want to release the 6th on island.

hope that helps

I often see ICP write it that way, but Bizaar is first according to the catalog numbers and the intro to Bizzar makes reference to what happened in Bizaar's intro. So if it's all one album, it would seem that Bizaar is "part 1" even though ICP usually lists Bizzar first.

how do the intro''s reference eachother?...there samples from two entirely different movies referencing two entirely different events

the self titled opening track for "bizzar" is a clear introduction track to the entire project, if it was bizaar/bizzar (which is NEVER how icp referred to it, which really ends any debate anyway) than "bizaar" would have lead off with the title track "bizaar" leading off the whole project

ur wrong listen to the intros again. they are telling a story.the beginning of the storm and then the continuation, the samples are just music/sound effects not the talking......take me away is the beginning and bizzar is the interlude track

The Bizaar intro references a lingering cloud that began alarming residents in the morning. It began to spread over the next few hours. Expected to cover the nation within a few more hours.

The Bizzar intro begins *thirteen hours* into the continuing cloud coverage. The ordeal has now become a national emergency, as the previous intro explained it would eventually become. However, the expansion of the cloud has subsided.

It's very clear the Bizaar intro takes place before the Bizzar intro.

As for which track is a clear introduction to the entire project, the opening track from Bizaar begins with the lyrics "Welcome to the dark carnival."

It's true that ICP usually references the project as Bizzar/Bizaar, but that doesn't necessarily end the debate as the catalog numbers clearly show that Bizaar comes before Bizzar.

I have always speculated though that had the albums been released as a double album, that the album would have been named Bizzar (hence the title track), but there is no rule that the title track of a double album must be on the first disc. Perhaps the confusion stems from the project being split into two, but the title track being on "part 2."

I still don't think it's definitively clear one way or the other, but it does seem to me that the intro to Bizzar is continuing the story from the Bizaar intro.

wow...kinda just blew my mind MSL.lol

i dunno how the hell i never noticed that the intros were connected, but i applaud you for your articulation and logical post.

unfortunately, since i was in 7th grade i have been living under the assumption that the correct order is bizzar/bizaar & any attempt to rewire my brain @ this point could have catastrophic consequences, so i shall back away from this thread slowly & continue enjoying "bizzar/bizaar" in their "correct" order.

Well don't feel bad. Since the albums released, I've been living under the assumption that the albums were completely separate and that there wasn't any order one way or the other.

Also, since Bizzar contained the title track, contained the most prominent single and video, and is always the one ICP lists first, I kind of assumed Bizaar was like left over tracks from Bizzar. I definitely consider Bizzar to be the stronger album.

But after chatting with everyone in this thread, I guess I accept they are equals, a double album that you simply have to buy separately so it would count as two albums for their contract. Lot of interesting info in here. Thanks.

I always preferred Bizaar. The songs just stuck with me more front to back. Take Me Away, Fearless, Whut?, Still Stabbin, Behind the Paint, all classics.
