I chose my words carefully. Interest ≠ Newsworthy/significant. 

Sure, some people are interested in it. That doesn’t mean that it’s news. The viewership for Maury is uncomfortably high as well. Doesn’t mean that it’s the news.

Unless you think that him getting the boot is somehow indicative of something larger but if that’s what you’re thinking, you left that part out of the post.
