Whether I march or not, I still think it is a good idea to not leave trash behind. The media loves to focus on a negative, if they can find one, completely overshadowing the real purpose of the cause. Don't give them an opening to report on anything other than the reason for the march.
Trash left behind ... And this is not me bashing liberals. These pictures from rallies, protests, etc. are from all sides of the political spectrum. Humans can be messy people. Anyone who has helped with the voluntary GOTJ cleanup crew knows what I am saying. I know @scruffy does. He has always advocated bringing trash bags to the gathering. It may be a good idea at the march also. Everyone bringing one trash bag (easily folds up and can fit in your pocket) and using them to help clean up afterwards. A lot of the trash left from previous marches were from trashcans overflowing and nowhere to place it. Same thing happens at the GOTJ.

Fuck the Juggalo March. They'd be better off doing a nationwide mega tour with 2 or 3 super dope support artists to raise awareness for it. Plenty of press coverage and t-shirts to sell to push the message.
Instead they are going to show their ass in DC. I'm from the area and no one is going to give a fuck. It's nothing but government workers, tourists and upper achelon assholes in NW DC.
Violent J does what he wants but trying to be taken seriously and getting political? Two white rappers from the D whos schtick is to be insane clowns. Stick to rapping and wrestling!

not sure how the March will go, but if FaygoLuvers and Scottie D. continue 2 ignore I.C.P. shows and hype Tech and emenee? they can go 2 Hell! It's FaygoLuvers! show some respect!
You should email @scottied personally, he gets back to you relatively quick. Within a day or two, they made a post showing the ICP dates from the Hatchet Herald, perhaps haven't gotten around to adding it to the upcoming concert area but plan to?
If your just joking and I missed the sarcasm or you being ironic, my bad for responding so cereal about it.

You know, even though I support the cause, I can't help thinking of the irony of people marching against harmful pollution harmfully polluting.

Not really a prediction, just information...
On the same day as the Juggalo march and starting from the same location and time is the Black Lives Matter National March. From their description, it is difficult to tell whether it is one of their closed marches like their black only Memorial Day march or one of the ones that allow all "races" to participate.
Also on the same day and location and time is the M.O.A.R. (Mother Of All Rallies). This is a pro-Trump rally march that anyone can attend and will include several congressmen and senators (since they are not in session that week) and people running for congress or senate as Republican in 2018 midterms. They are being joined by Bikers for Trump, Latinos for Trump and other pro-Trump groups.

Might explain the knockoff red fist on the clown march's flyer. If the ACLU is trying to use Juggalos as useful idiots (persons perceived as propagandists for a cause "the goals of which they are not fully aware of... used cynically by the leaders of the cause")
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot
they might be in over their head. And if J & Shaggy plan to merge marches and haven't told Juggalos everything, "It's all about karma."

I get a weird vibe about the march. When it was announced last year I was like ok I understand this. Stand up for what you believe in, etc. Between then and now we've had the Twiztid beef and other people you'd expect to show up decline the invite, the Blahzay shit, this year's Gathering sounds like it was a little off from the norm. On top of all that, it's super weird that apparently ICP didn't talk about the march at the Gathering. By now you'd think they'd be on super hype mode, but also making sure to continuously remind Juggalos to fucking behave themselves and not show up to DC like a bunch of assholes like the media expects. Ultimately, I don't think there will be as big of a crowd as they are hoping for. I also think there will be a handful of moronic Juggalos that will do something stupid as fuck or get arrested or something and it will reflect poorly on the whole purpose of the march. The march will draw more attention to ICP, but, in the end I don't think it will do anything to advance the "Juggalos Are Not A Gang" movement.

This is close to what I also think. Very odd that the march was not a central part of the gathering, should have had its own seminar.
Based on the responses in this thread, seems many believe the same. To guess, I would anticipate this much:
1. Confusion locating the march, and confusion in general.
2. Less attendees due to the confusion, and the amount of planning and expense to anyone from outside the DC area. The reality is, with transportation cost, local hotel for a night plus food, that is in the $200.00+ range easily, and that is a lot of money for many people.
3. This is going to end badly and not change anything, but it will get publicity. Imagine being a non-juggalo, and seeing the pictures from the march, people in full face paint, scary t shirts, clashing with police, and being frightened. Not saying there will be confrontations, but face paint is going to confuse police. If one incident happens, whether its juggalos beating up another juggalo for being an idiot, or a bottle gets thrown, or a scuffle of any type goes down, and the police react in riot mode, you are going to have a bad time m'kay. And much, much larger marches for civil rights have failed to bring about the changes, in some cases for years or never.

I've been of the mindset since day 1 that the march was just a publicity stunt. No one has to agree with me or believe me, but all things considered - and it seems like every day we get more and more evidence to support this - but it seems like the clowns don't actually care about the march or the purpose of the march, they just want to get their names in the news and shit again.

you are not the only one who has thought that or have seen it that way. at this point, will the march really happen. i know the site is up, but they have been absolutely silent on it and should be promoting the HECK out of it to get more to go. But, like you, I do see it as a publicity stunt as well and if that is the case, I do hope others will see it as well and not allow themselves to be used. This march should of been done years ago when this whole FBI thing was in the news. Would of made MUCH more sense to have done this right when they announced that they were suing the FBI, etc, and had that ACLU press conference. Having it then would of made much more sense

all marches are publicity stunts. thats the whole point.oy.
All marches are publicity stunts for the cause they're supporting, not the people organizing the march. Most people don't march against police brutality to get THEIR names in the paper, they do it to get attention on the problem.

This should not affect the March but it could alter plans you may have had to visit certain monuments.
From https://www.nps.gov/nama/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
The Washington Monument is closed until spring 2019
... The National Park Service is modernizing the elevator to increase long term reliability and safety.Lincoln Memorial elevator out of order
... The elevator at the Lincoln Memorial is out of service due to vandalism that caused significant damage to the hoist-way and landing doors. Replacement of the door system is expected to take until December 2017; we apologize for the inconvenience.

Less than 2 weeks away and still not much info, they fucked this up.
Yuuuuup. At first I was into it because it came off as something important. It's getting the same hype as anything else now though*. Complete with their typical lack of information. Normally I'm cool with that cause it all tends to work itself out but a lack of direction regarding this march has potential to get people legit hurt or worse.
One little video from ICP sayin "discrimination is bad and don't come fucked up" doesn't help people learn escape routes, or teach em how to handle riot gear, or violent protesters, or tear gas, or the press, etc. etc.
*To be fair, the last Juggalo Show made it clear that this thing is something that you absolutely have to be at but when Jump was hyping it up my brain immediately ran thru the boy who cried wolf. Seems like Hopcrooked (what Jumpsteady was called before he learned his skills) never heard that one.

uh, nobody is gonna be teaching that. actually teaching that shit would, in fact, look kinda bad.
or the press,
okay, maybe that one could use some teaching.
still, nobody gonna.
the problem that i see, is that theres gonna be mad juggalos gettin lost on the mall [which is easier to do that it might seem], and about half of em will be at right places at wrong times, or vice versa. and not much will get done.
mind you, if this 'concert in front of lincoln' thing actually goes down, then, fuck... its icp in front of lincoln at blank oclock. rest of it will be secondary to that, in the end.
