Hands down for me it is The Marvelous Missing Link: LOST
While I do very much enjoy BPB and TMDP, TMML: LOST is in a league of its own and stands on its own and in time, years down the road, just yet another album for the boys that will be considered a classic
Runnin' Out Of Time / Looking For The Light / Something Isnt Right / The Devil's Grip Is Tight / Cause I'm Runnin' Out Of Time / Leave It All Behind / If My Soul Was On The Line / Can My Body Hide / From The Devil Inside

Bang Pow Boom, and it isn’t even close. BPB was really good and actually had an interesting theme and mostly great songs. Death Pop was mediocre, though it at least had some salvageable tracks. The Missing Link: Lost, on the other hand, is redundantly terrible. It’s the worst Joker’s card ever put out from either deck so far.

I voted for Bang Pow Boom. It is by far the standout for me as well. I can’t get enough of that album.
Lost is a very close second. I love the new style. I like every track so far.
Mighty Death Pop was good, but not great because I didn’t like many tracks on that album. Night of the Chainsaw though, might be my favourite track from the whole new deck so far and by far my favourite music video by ICP.

I think that’s why ICP makes such a HUGE array of different sounding music. Some people think MDP was the greatest thing since Riddle Box, and i think that was the worst ICP album EVER FUCKIN MADE! It just flat out sucksballs imo….that’s just NOT the ICP I wanna hear. And I know they don’t care, their just making what they like at this point….and that’s cool to me. BPB was ok, it kinda had a little bit of that old school sound in there but…meh. And Lost is DOPE! I mean c’mon, when was the last time they REALLY made a song like Flamethrower!?? That beat is just bone crushing, it just had that feel and gave me those goosebumps that i look forward to listening to an ICP Jokers Card. Also, other than the hi hats, not sure why people are saying it has that new “Trap sound”……dunno don’t really hear it in Lost. Really looking forward to Found.

Bang! Pow! Boom! -It’s not only my favorite on the second deck, it’s easily in my top four Jokers Cards.
The Mighty Death Pop -I can only listen to a third of this album. The ones I can listen to are great and the rest are more interesting than good.
The Missing Link (lost) -Killjoy Club without Da Mafia Six. There’s a couple songs that I liked but for the most part, Insane Clown Posse, forgot to be insane clowns. They really forced me to listen to them as just rappers. As far as straight up rap goes, they’re terrible.

Stomp totally counters your argument. Sorry.

Want to explain that a little for me? Even if I give you that it’s the best rap song of all time (I like it but it’s not that good), that doesn’t counter my whole argument. Making one good rap song over the span of twenty years doesn’t mean you’re not a terrible rapper. It means that you succumbed to statistics lol.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. You see it as they managed to have a decent rap song once, which has me wonder why you’re even here. On the other hand, I see it as they could do legitimate rap and chose to do silly shit because it’s easier to sell. And whether you agree or not, Riddlebox and Tunnel of Love [and to a lesser extent, The Great Milenko] show that Shaggy [and Violent J to a lesser extent] had “legitimate rapping skills” [whatever that is] but decided it was more bankable to do stuff that’s less serious and more tongue-in-cheek.

Don’t get me wrong, what ICP do is incredible. That’s why I’m here. No one, fucking no one, can paint a picture like those two. At their best they can relay an emotion better than any artist and the world that they’ve created inside of those abilities is crystal clear to me when I hear it. The fact that it’s a bizarre world, with its own characters, beliefs, and rules is even more impressive. Man, I could go on but I think you get it. I don’t think what they’re doing is just rap though. They do what they do, and they just happen to be using rap as a way to do it. Basically, the actual rapper side of them is just happenstance.
Chances are we have different definitions of what is means to be a good rapper. I would say that I look for vocabulary, the complexity of the rhymes, the delivery, and flow. All of those things make up a good rapper to me. ICP’s delivery is solid but that’s about it. Lost really showcased that to me. It wasn’t them doing what they do (paint a picture, relay emotion, so on and so forth) best while they happen to rap. It was them rapping and they happened to, on a few songs, paint a picture and/or relay emotion.

Alright, fair enough. Great rapping to me involves flow, bending words, internal rhymes creating a secondary cadence [for instance, Eminem’s stuff on Relapse and Refill a lot of times almost reminds me of a drummer if that makes sense at all; ie, 3 a.m. and Underground], and saying fucked up metaphorical shit, like referring to feminazis as “west side bitches” and telling them to put a balloon inside their pussy, queef and blow it up. The west is on the left and feminists are left wing.
