I think it’s safe to say Violent J would rather try and make silk out of a sow’s ear than sign actual talent these days.
Blahzay, Lyte, now Ouiji Toof. That’s three questionable signings in a row in my books.
(Lyte seems like a nice guy, it’s his music that’s too generic, imo.)
I checked out Swag Toof months back. I found it tough to get through any of their songs/videos.
Hella corny.

This dude sounds EXACTLY like Lyte.
Then again, this entire new generation of millennial artist don’t know or
seem to understand the concept of originality.
Hopefully this dude can make enough $ to get his teefs fixed before he is dropped.
Wait, my bad, J will grow emotionally attached to him and he will be a
main stay for many years.
Really starting to think Twiztid was the actual talent scout before they left.
Oh wait, they were.

I can only judge off of what I saw live but this dude is fucking terrible. I’m not the only one that thought it either. There were maybe five people in the crowd feeling him. Even they lost interest after the fourth or fifth chorus of that winded ass goblin just sayin the same word over and over, pretending that it was a hook.
Dude didn’t thank anyone as he left stage either. He just kind of left and that was it. No big finisher, no cheap attempt to start a “family” chant, no “I love ya’ll”. Just…walked off stage at the end of the song and tried to push his shitty merch at the merch booth later (everyone walked right past him btw).
Unless you were there I can’t express to you how fucking uninterested people were in him but it was the closest to radio silence that I’ve ever heard Juggalos approach. No one even cared enough to throw shit at the fuckin little bullfrog.
He is not good and I highly doubt he’ll stick around longer than an E.P.

I was there tonight, too. Cell’s on point. Dude seemed… almost uninterested in even being there is what I took away from it.
I’ve never been a fan of Swag Toof or this dude, but I will say this, his introduction on the new track/ video might surprise some people. I was pretty bummed when they announced him but it surprised me. The beat changes up for his verse and I thought the beat change was way doper than the main beat and he actually raps his ass off on the track.
Will he keep that momentum going and do dope shit on PSY? Who knows? Guess we’ll see in time.

Absolutely motherfucking despise autotune IF the artist is doing it to compensate for their ability to sing, rap, or carry a rhythm. Not the case here. Just a style thing. He can rap just fine…
^This. Yall should listen to Swag Toof’s new album Dead York. Ouija can spit. Nice signing on PSY’s part IMO (and that’s something I haven’t said in years).
