Yes pay money for some codes to songs. That’s a fun Easter egg hunt. The codes are supposed to be in the artwork or secret songs from previous releases. You don’t say “hey buy this jewelry for secret code” because that means the code is no longer secret and it was done simply for income.   

Well being as two tracks have been found from decrypting all that craziness in the videos thus far and it didn’t cost any money at all, only time and effort, I think it’s a great way to engage with the fans.

Your focusing on the wrong thing here.

The pendant code would just be a bonus and incentive to buy. You get a track that may or may not be on water damage for scooping up a particular piece of merch. ICP does this shit all the time with their various ‘Special Edition’ versions of albums, re-buy all twelve varient versions of an album you already have for the exclusive intro. And yea, it’s still a secret because the track hasn’t leaked, yet. Another cool thing is this was just one pendant with its own unique code, I think they have nine more unique one’s that have been purchased.

In fact, I will omit that song from the batch when I get the thumbs up to share with y’all. That way it remains a mystery for a while longer homie. 

It wouldn’t surprise me if ‘Water Damage’ never saw a traditional release, but instead, you had to trade and barter with ninjas track by track to have the completed project. Now that would be awesome.
