Aight so bear with me a moment. I haven't been down long enough to see the transition as it happened, but Mighty Death Pop was the CD that sold me on ICP. I loved that shit. The next three albums I got were the first three jokers. And I can def see how the ninjas who've been down since CoC are like "what the fucking fuck" at BPB and MDP but they're all great albums in their own right IMO wouldn't it be boring if after 20 years they sounded the exact same as Riddlebox? Don't get me wrong I cringe at shit like Miracles and Ghetto Rainbows, but on the whole ICP's new shit is just as good as their old shit, I even reject people saying theyre softer now. BPB and MDP have plenty of dark murder rap shit and Riddlebox and Milenko have soft tracks too. The only thing that's changed that I can see is production, which was def better on the old shit. In summary I suppose, why all the hate? Shit's still good, and I guarantee the next joker of this hand will be just as bangin.

i agree with those songs for sure but i think their production has gotten better over the years..better technology today i think it sounds crisp and the mixing and mastering is better...some of the old shit like beverly kills...put that on ur cd player and hear how low the volume is....put in MDP/BPB shit is way louder better mix/master..

I suppose instead of using the blanket term "production" I should've specifically said the beats. Ik what you mean bout the quietness of it, my stereo usually starts distorting at 28 (so I keep it at 27 lol) but when I put tunnel of love in I can barely hear it til its up at 36. Anyways, yes its not overall production so much as I mean the beats to it. the sound of the song as a whole as oppose to the lyrics.

icp started falling off with me musically back in 2010.. before then i liked damn near ALL of their shit.. then 2010 rolled along & i started to dislike damn near all of it (the new shit).. who knows maybe im just growin out of it... but then again i dug abominationz & the legz album.. idk.. majority of icp's beats just stopped appealing to me these past few years..

I made that mistake with some of my favorite songs/albums. I want it to be a total surprise, that way if I love it I won't be half burnt on it before I get it. If I hate it, I guarantee my brother will like it. He likes the shit I like least the most. Take Miracles, that's his fav song by ICP. You know what? You've put the idea in my head.
