So if J made the original jokers cards so good because he was angry, what the hell do we have to do to make him that angry again? Maybe if nobody buys a ticket for the gathering it will piss him off enough to stop with this positive vibe shit and make some wicked shit. Hells Pit Pt2. There’s new wicked shit. That Geno Cultshit + Liquid Assassin joint just dropped. It just isn’t coming from Violent J.
I disagreed with his definition of The Wicked Shit being anything, even happy butterfly songs (seems like a pacifying copout for self-styled The Duke of the Wicked to do happy butterfly music and still hold that title) but then I saw one or two cats here who agreed with those parameters so what the fuck do I know. Around my way wicked shit was always a benchmark term for the more ruthless, sinister or violent tracks. To quote a friend who said this around the time it was fresh,
“The Calm is something chilled out I can smoke to. I like it, but it doesn’t bring The Wicked Shit.”
That’s what I mean when I say #MakeTheCarnivalDarkAgain I get that they’re on some good vibes 17 type time (doesn’t mean I gotta like it), but I hope Violent J doesn’t forget the Juggalos like myself who got in this specifically over the wicked shit and chose to stick around after the 6th’s revelation, The Calm, MDP’s smattering of Happy Crappy, Found, and all that.
I’m confident they will return to telling good horror tales, but it might not be the focus of their music. 2017 is undoubtedly a drought year for the wicked though. I hope Shaggy at least has a lil murderous shit to talk on F.T.F.O.M.F. so I can at least get a methadone buzz.

I think this is a great post to highlight how subjective each person’s Juggalo experience can be. The Esham thing didn’t surprise me- they had tiffed off and on even before he was on the label. Esham taking shots at Juggalos surprised me more. Either way, I never took that or the shifting state of the label as an indicator of Psy being on a downswing (not that I never had my worries). Some albums I liked, others not so much.
I did a rundown of some Psy history a while back and pointed out that people come out of the woodwork to cry doom and gloom every time the status quo shifts. Plenty of Juggalos jumped ship with mad shit to talk on their way out the door when the 6th dropped. When Twiztid started advertising Majik after Green Book cats were crying the end of Psy, ostensibly hedging their bets on The Thing That Never Was. My point here is that these things run in cycles. And to ICP’s immense credit, they never go in quite the same direction twice. I might not get the music I want from them when I want it, but they always keep me interested in hearing what’s next.

Yeah when I read that “there will be no more wicked shit” I actually got a little sad. I have been listening to ICP since Riddlebox and ICP/Twiztid/ECT got me through some really hard shit in my life and for them to just actually announce they are going to be stopped that for god knows how long (I really hope J will wake the fuck up) just was like a slap in the face.

ICP was always so fresh with the wicked shit because they were also hilarious. They’d rap about ripping someone’s head off and make you want to do it.. with a big shit eating grin across your face. Not to mention the crisp and mainstream level production of Mike E Clark.
I fucks with a lot of the new shit from Phantom to Found and was actually looking forward to J doing Karma Forest. I prefer the wicked shit sure but correct if I’m wrong but didn’t one of their latest albums have a song about blasting people with a flamethrower? That is the wicked shit, folks.

When Blahzay releases an album with whoever, lets all buy 6 copies and make it number 1 on all the charts. That should do it! I really believe Psy is doing everything not to derail the “seventeenin”/”raining diamonds” year long … celebration (?) they already had planned out. I do use the word plan loosely. But they’re having fun with it so fuck it. I took the No Type (4 Life) video as seriously as the Twiztid Trapped album. Not at all. We’re not getting the wicked shit this year. We weren’t supposed to.
J is obviously pissed. When he gets his 15 seconds to comment during interviews, Shaggy seems to cosign with everything said. I’d be shocked if the next Jokers Card doesn’t touch on any of this. I guess we’ll see.

Where he goes wrong is trying to convince everybody that this is about the juggalos and not him. Dude is using and manipulating juggalos to push his own agenda. The more I see him try and convince us that everything he’s doing is for juggalos, the more I see him lie or exaggerate to juggalos, the more I see him tell juggalos that artists who won’t do the march that does nothing for juggalos but gives ICP publicity that they aren’t giving juggalos credit or showing the proper respect the more I realize he is just as manipulative as the people have said from the very beginning. And I never bought the idea that J was a greedy manipulative and jealous business man until this march shit started.
Like, I’ve known a lot of fucking people that have looked me in the eye and convincingly sworn things to be true or tried to manipulate me into believing a cause that would benefit them. I’ve seen that look of desperation too many times, mostly from pain pill addicts, to not recognize it. That’s J. I see that look in J. I can’t describe it, but just the way he conveys himself he’s trying way to hard to convince us. I don’t trust it. I don’t trust these dudes like I don’t trust SKR. I don’t trust a lot of people.
