With this new era of Psychopathic Records I think a new super group will eventually happen. Whats your thoughts or Ideas of what would be a fresh af group ideas.

Personally I think a D&D themed group would be fresh. Each member od psy would be a character with a different class and race;  Lyte would be a human cleric, Ouija would be a goblin pyromancer, Hoodoo a Shaman. Violent J would be a Warrior, Dj Clay a bard, Shaggy a Archer and Jump Steady as the DM/Album narrator. Each album or ep would be a encounter or game session. I just think a song called critical fail would be fire af.

Post what y’all think would be fresh

I wouldn’t really be that into a d&d album but my ideas would probably be less appealing and less likely.

Aliens would be cool. They could use it as an excuse to get more experimental and weird. Not like psychopathics from outer space but really pushing it.

Post-apocalyptic dystopian stuff would be cool too. Really strip it down. Not quite Daisies.

I would also rock a cyberpunk album but I think tech would be better at that than anybody on psy.

Soopa Villainz were aliens. Already done.

Instead of a super group, maybe like one big unified concept album. Since we’ve been talking about those lately.

Imagine them rapping as regular people from different walks of life who all suddenly become poor for one reason or the other. They are all homeless and form a commune of sorts. They all start to rap for other vagrants. Soon they draw a crowd. As more songs continue on the album, they start to become famous. They’re so over with the hustle of the lives that made them this way that they refuse record label offers and such. They just like to keep rapping in their Detroit city spots and earn enough to get by. They buy better clothes and spruce up their commune. Soon they start a movement of people who have similar situations.

Or something, I dunno.

I think VJ was going to do a album very similar to this called American Lives or American People.

To add to the D&D idea I posted the monsters they fight could be features on the album. So like have Kung fu vampire as a vampire lord or A.X.E. as Lichs even have Lo-Key as a Oni thats terrorizing a forrest

Excuse my pessimism but can you guys really see ICP doing something super fresh like this?

I mean yeah, they did Wizard of the Hood, Dark Lotus, Rydas, Soopa Villainz, etc so we know they have it in them, but I feel like they may have lost that creative drive.

Besides, as cool as themed albums or groups goes, as a label tryna make money they might think it’s isolating a demographic and go with something more universally praised.

It’s too bad.

Soopa villainz were aliens but in a more comic book kinda way. I meant more hard sci fi. Like dirtball but weirder.

Really whatever they wanna do is probably gonna end up being cool. It’ll happen at some point or we will keep getting psyphers. Either way, I’m good.

I’ve said something similar before. Take what they did in “Dirtball” and expand on that. I fuckin love that song and the style. Too bad Twzitid wouldn’t be involved.

As far as the current Psychopathic lineup goes, I can’t really say any type of super group would really excite me much. The only one I ever cared for anyway was Dark Lotus. Soopa Villainz had a couple of cool songs but I feel like they didn’t make the most of that lineup/concept. At this point I’d rather they all focus on their main projects/solo acts.

How about a comedy trap group just because they can?

That would be ICP, Ouija, and Lil Toenail.  I feel like they could pull that off.

If psy read this thread and fused everyones ideas together, they would decide to do another “Psy from outer space”

This. ICP does not have to be in every damn group. In some instances, they are the weakest links of the group.

Aside from ICP and Quija I have zero interest in anybody on Psychopathic.

With that said I have zero interest in anybody on MNE including Twizzler. With THAT said I’d love to see Psychopathic sample the shit out of all the Twiztid masters they still own and incorporate them into their new projects. That would be an extremely intelligent and fresh way of fucking with them just to fuck with them. I’d love to hear that on FFF.
