Did they say it was with MEC?
I thought it was probably a label wide super group. Still might be, sans Blahzay. Maybe with MBK who it looks like might be the group they’re trying to sign. Maybe not. we’ll see i guess.

In the interview, J seems to buffer it being someone fairly underwhelming, saying something along the lines of, “It may sound weird, but when you hear it its gonna be devastating!”

Somewhere a couple months back DJ Muggs(Cypress Hill) was on a podcast doing a
Q&A session about the then new Die Antwoord record. He’s like the unofficial fourth
member of that group, “The Black Goat”, And in it someone brought up the possibility
of an ICP/DA collab and he said something on the lines of they reached out to us
and we would definitely be very down to do something with psychopathic records,
maybe an “1 OFF” type thing. They also joked about how crazy the imagery would be.
J has expressed doing something with them on a couple occasions.
I think maybe this could count as a possible candidate, no?

Wouldn’t hold my breath on a DA collab. They couldn’t even book them for the Gathering because according to Jumpsteady, it wasn’t a mainstream enough festival and DA only does the top festivals. I’m paraphrasing a bit, but yall can look up the GOTJ seminar from last year.

I don’t know about that seeing as they played the VooDoo fest here in New Orleans
last year. Don’t get me wrong, It attracts a lot of big names but pails in comparison
to lets say a Cochella,Lollapalooza or concerts of that magnitude.
I really would not consider it “Mainstream”.
