None of the above. I got one in 2005 and lost it last august in a scuffle at a twiztid show. Im waiting for the clown gods to give me another ala Lucky’s story. At the gathering in 2010 my boy came out the pit with literally 5 charms above his head tryna give em back to ninjas that lost em. He kept the 3 that wernt claimed but traded them for wares as he was broke.

Not gonna lie, just talkin about this hurts my soul a little. Iv never been one to wear band t-shirts/hatchetgear whatnot, only thing I did rock was a 2001 charm. It literally was one of my most prized possesions. I kept it around my neck every day until Twiztid’s “World of Webs Tour” in Philly where my chain broke in the pit and was never to be found again. So many memories that charm was irreplaceable. I’ll never buy another.

I bought one. I’ve been waiting the entire time I’ve been down for them to offer sterling ones. Yes it’s expensive, but it’s a piece of jewelry that I’ll have forever (hopefully, barring loss or theft). I’d considered buying one on eBay, but I’ve always wanted one that was brand new, and not one that was cast off by someone else for whatever reason. I wanted one that would be mine alone, and never belong to anyone else. So yes, it’s expensive, but they’re the same price now as they were when they were available for like one day in 2011. Sometimes you’ve just gotta treat yourself :-)

@luckynumbrxiii have you tried getting it polished professionaly?
@franke-baulz , that’s the way to do it or if you have some silver polish and a buffing wheel you can do it yourself for tiny surface scratches. I like the weathered look of mine. It doesn’t sparkle anymore but I think the slight silver tarnish and scratches give it character.

Honestly, ive had 2 of the Official Hatchetmen…($75-$100)….both tarnished up over time, i sold one and still have the second that i hardly wear due to Psychopathic only releasing these every few years AND raises the price everytime….im afraid imma loos it in a mosh pit or some shit…so i only wear it on Special occasions…..i Bought a Stainless Steal Hatchetman off Ebay for $25 to wear to the rougher Juggalo meetups……..Its Perfect…strong Bail….finish hasnt scratched or tarnished in 3 years…and the Hatchtman doesnt look like it has downsyndrome….if your interested you have to shop around for the Thick one i got….some people like to stamp out Hatchetmen on sheetmetal and they are thin as piss…the one i have looks like the 2003 Hatchetman only more defined details.
Now i might get slack about going bootleg on my 3rd charm, but fuck them Prices, Fuck the shitty Details…it looks like its melting or a kid drew the new one….and FUCK them Hottopic/Spencer Enamel tin turn your shit green charms .16

I kiiiiiinda wanna get a new shiny one because mine’s tarnished and doesn’t shine at all. I clean it and clean it and it never gets better.
Mine was $65 back then. I no longer wear it because of how tarnished it is; and I now prefer to wear a Herringbone chain and the charm is always to heavy. I keep it on a shelf with other nostalgic items.
I had my Hatchetman actually made at a jeweler back in ’99 before Hatchetgear (or then the Psychopathic Records online store) sold to the public. I still only put a little over $100 into it, and it’s .925 silver…solid, not the hollowed out back variety that Psychopathic started selling later. It was a little smaller than the standard 2″, but I rocked the shit out of it for well over a decade! Early last year, I paid Gene Hooks (the SPH guy) to shine mine up, along with another old charm I had laying around that was tarnished as shit. Check out the results.

You know how I know that times are tight in the Psychopathic kingdom?
My sterling Hatchetman arrived today, wrapped in three squares of single ply toilet paper. Poor guys can’t even afford two-ply toilet paper.
And the invoice that arrived with it was printed on a printer with almost no toner in it.
I drop $190 on an item, and I can’t even get a little bubble wrap or foam to protect my little guy? Really?
