With the mighty death pop I had high hopes for it I rather enjoy it as opposed to bang pow boom But I also had the feeling that it may possibly flp or not live up yo its hype.
However with The missing link particularly lost and they’re success with House of Wax i don’t get any shread of doubt i love icp but we do have to hold them to some standard like a loving parent you just want them to do they’re best in they’re endeavors.
Now as far as Found goes no shread of doubt byut i feel alit of people are taking the wholle it being about faith thing to much to heart there’s all sorts of ways to hav e faith. i feel this will be nothing close to shangrila. also on another note apparently a lot of people iffy about the subject matter seem to either not to believe in god or are athiest or agnostic just wanna put it out. therw I’m agnostic and i believe in god i. i just have a more open believe system. the believe of understanding

My belief is that yes I believe in God I do believe there’s a higher power but I fully accept the fact that you know it’s possible I’m wrong , on topic yes i sense great year ahead of us this isn’t even like being Hyped up it’s like feeling that everything is just in its right place I mean if you think about it how promoted Was the missing link anyways none at all really so exact opposite of the over hype Thawas given to the mighty death pop

I was all over that god subject in the other thread so I won’t jump in on that one here too. I will say that I cannot fuckin wait for this album. If House of Wax is any indication of what ICP are going to be like on Lost, @whutuptho kind of summed it up. There’s a vibe in the air that they’re out to prove themselves again.

I’m hype as fuck for it, myself. I thought bang pow boom was cool and I think mighty death pop is one of the best albums they’ve done. That said, house of wax was fucking ACE and if the energy of 3:24 is on lost, I think it’s gonna be dope.
Jumpsteady said it’s very fast and paranoid and I think with people like seven and mike p doing the beats it’s possibly going to be pretty chaotic. Some good old fashion mosh pit music.
With J saying it sounds like “90s” icp, well, we’ll see. He hypes his own shit so well and I always get a little hype off what he says but it doesn’t always turn up. But I do think this will be the new CD that defines who they are, at least for a little while. I don’t think found will be as good, and not because of the religiousness. I hope it’s just as dope and it may be but I think ICP are better when J’s mental health is a bit lower and he’s freaking out. Not that I wish bad health on him but it definitely adds fire to their music.

Bang! Pow! Boom! still has a steady rotation for me and like, half of Death Pop does. Yeah, I keep hoping that 3:24 is a hint at what’s to come.

As far as the hype thing, usually when he talks about how “fresh” it is, I get hesitant as fuck. So far that’s the only way I can tell if he’s being honest or if he’s being a salesman. Usually “I don’t know if everyone will like this” means they’re on some other shit that I’ll probably love.
The mental health thing is rough. I know what you’re saying and you’re absolutely right but damn, I’ve never came out and said it like that lol.
Part of the reason I’m so excited for Lost is I think this is going to be the “time to start anew” album of the second deck. I think they had that mentality with AJB too and it came through loud and clear on the album.
As far as Found goes, I’m not excited for it, it worries me more than anything. That could just be because it’s farther away and they haven’t started hyping it yet.

yeah. I mean, it sounds cold as fuck to say it flat out like that but I have the same issue. My art is 1000% more interesting, IMO, when my depression and anxiety are amped up. I don’t know what it is. Milenko was right before J’s break down before and it’s easily their most popular album.
But i do hope he takes care of himself because that shit will eat him alive if he doesn’t and I sincerely don’t want him going to the hospital again or having panic attacks and shit.

Yea I remember J saying death pop sounded like “old school icP’ in an interview back in the day and I honestly didn’t think so. It was somewhat the corny icp we knew but the beats killed it for me. I think that’s why they are using new producers IMO mike just isn’t fitting the sound of icp right now people can defend that as much as they want but BPB and MDP both didn’t sound like joker cards IN MY OPINION. that’s the way I see it. Everything sounded like a normal icp track we would hear on FF4 or something. I just wanna put teh cd in and be like “holy fuck this is what I waited for the last 10+ years”

I completely agree homie! I hated the last 2 albums (Mostly MDP)…straight corny ICP. And that sucks, we all want that killer. With those sick ass beats, that everyone knows and loves. It just falls super short here of late. I remember when BPB came out, J said that they even “dusted off MEC’s old beat machines just to make that sound again”. So he obviously knows what we want and what we want to hear. Its just like my Detroit Lions….every year I get HYPE that they just may make the playoffs, but then…….well this year was different. You know what I’m trying to say. Every ICP album I get hype, then its kinda like the big let down….usually. However, I always do seem to find 2-3 tracks that gives me those old school chills and the first few spins….besides MDP which I thought was COMPLETE GARBAGE! burned it, listened to it a few times and just could NOT GET INTO IT! That’s just me tho…..
MDP was the first ICP CD/Tape I haven’t purchased since the Ringmaster. Now that’s crazy….
