Just hit up J on facebook talking about how dark your life is. Then pretend that you aren’t really into dating but you really like him. After he flies out to visit you go to a bar, and plant a buddy of yours who casually brings up how you are a rapper. Bang Pow Boom! Record deal.

You ever have a dream where you’re in a fight but yours hands go all paralyzed and you look like a rag doll swinging in the wind?
yeah those suck. I always hit like a damn wiggly stick figure. Never doing any damage and the effort is great. I suspect these are dreams of feeling powerless in some part of our life.

ive had dreams just like that. ive also had dreams where everything about me seems normal, but no matter how hard i hit the guy, he takes it like it aint shit.
the first type of dream usually cues me in that im dreaming, so i start just jumping over houses and flipping cars over n shit, until i wake up. the second type doesnt tip me off, and is actually a little scary because of it; like, ‘fuck, this guy is a beast… what the hell have i gotten myself into?’
[edit][addendum] oh, meant to add:
the dreams where the guy can take any punch without effect? its always an old guy. or at least, a guy whos clearly older than i am [had these dreams my whole life].
thus, my theory is that it is my mind trying to reconcile with aging in general. ya know, like, the futility of pretending that i dont age. shit like that.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

the first type could also mean you feel powerless against the old-blood codgers than “run” this planet… rich old men that ain’t shit really, but have some kind of impenetrable force around them, preventing the working man from halting their crimes. Or even authority figures in general, so rage against them.

I wonder if thats just a male thing. I have those dreams quite a bit. Yall ever have actual night terrors? I had a real one for the first time a month or so ago. I was sleeping in my living room on the couch, and I dreamed of being in my living room and there were three flying bat like creatures on the ceiling. They start to fly towards me and I woke up. I actually jumped up and threw my blanket at them thinking they would get caught in it I guess. After that I just sat there on my couch for a good 15 minutes just mentally recovering. It was so fucking scary XD

depending on how ‘night terrors’ is defined…
three-quarters of my dreams would qualify as nightmares, by most peoples standards. so they tell me.
well, three-quarters of the ones i remember, anyway. for the obvious reason, they tend to stick in my mind longer.
if you mean waking up but still dreaming, or not realizing that what just happened was actually a dream…
those, too. a few times.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Can somebody help me with my biggest dream? It’s to be a rapper for Psychopathic Records. I’m wanting this BAD.
Maybe get to a GOTJ, read the numerous threads on here about music production, post some of your tracks on here, do it do it now… and don’t be a GoFundMe ho or I may cry.

Last night I dreamt that I was part of a returning group of citizens coming from space travel. We were some of the first and maybe last to do it, unfortunately. There were like 6 space ships full of us. We were in the one out of the six that had some sort of malfunction in the ship.
Nothing in my description can match the emotion of how powerful this dream was, so bear with me.
Anyway, we were aware that our ship was 100% going to malfunction and burn up upon reentry of Earth. There was no way to change the trajectory for some reason, but I knew that either way we would die so we had to return and face our fates.
My late brother Jesse was with me, as he often is in dreams. He rarely talks but communicates more through facial gestures and mumble grunts. He’s been dead in our reality since 2007.
We had to relocate our mother on this little far away swamp-like planet. We set her down at a pleasant little wooden shack on a hump in a mostly purple terrain. It was very peaceful and acceptable and not as lonely as it should have been.
We traveled out a few million miles, then turned around to revisit our mom at the swamp planet shack. My brother and I ran back to her and gave her huge hugs and we weeped and I could feel myself physically heaving in my somnabulence. I wear a Bi-Pap machine at night to help me breathe, and I’m surprised that my heaving didnt awake my wife or daughters who had snuck into our bed to sleep that night.
Hugging our mom, I never realized how preternaturally strong and wise she truly is. Like she knew that we were going back to Earth to die and still had the strength to accept it and remain for the rest of her own existence on that peaceful swamp planet.
My words really dont do this feeling justice. But my brother and I got back in the ship and headed to Earth to die.
Dreams are some shit.

I envy that you are able to recollect your dream’s in such vivid detail. When I was younger I could do the same, but as an adult all I am left with, when I actually dream, is the residual emotions. A minute in to consciousness and every thing is a blank.
The one’s I do remember now tend to be nightmares, Nothing I would want to share here due to them being real specific to me and my life experiences, but even those leave me with a very strong sense of emotion well in to my day.
Since people are sharing though, I have a quick one for y’all.
When my son was about four, he woke me and my wife up in the middle of the night screaming. It was obvious he had a bad dream, so we let him sleep with us in our bed. Hours later he wakes up screaming again. So my wife checks him over to make sure nothing is physically wrong. As she is concluding there is nothing (health wise) wrong with him, he keeps saying ‘red button’ as the tears and sniffles slowly stop.
We were both off that day, so all morning, ‘Red Button’..’Red Button’ is what me and my wife hear as we feed him breakfast and got him dressed to go out.
We gave him a toy to occupy his time, he throws it…’Red Button’, Put him in his car seat, ‘Red Button’ is all he will repeat all the way down the interstate as we are off and running doing our daily errands.
Me and my wife are talking when all of a sudden our suv stalls while in motion…on the interstate. Luckily there wasn’t to many people around so we coasted on to the shoulder. I try everything to get it started, nothing. We call a family member to come get us as well as a tow truck for the SUV.
So we are waiting at a random mechanic shop in BFE to see what the damage is going to be, an hour or so passes and a supervisor walks in to tell us what the problem is.
‘Red Button’ my son says as the guy walks up to us. ‘So I take it you’ve had issues with this before?’ The man laughs and asks.
At this point, I’m super confused. The man notices this and says ‘The inertia switch.’ I’m no mechanic so I ask him what’s that? The man goes on to tell us it’s commonly referred to as a fuel shut of switch. Basically, in the event of a crash it trips and stops the fuel pump from distributing gas to the engine. It’s a safety feature. And ours had malfunctioned.
At this point, I’m like, ‘Ok, why would you think we’ve dealt with this issue before?’
The guy replies, ‘Because your boy there said Red Button. That’s basically what it is. I figured he might have watched you change it in the past and that’s why he was saying that when I walked in.’
My wife said, ‘No way.’ And we asked the guy if we could see it.
Sure enough, behind the front passenger side bottom interior panel, there it was, our faulty inertia switch..aka the Fuel shut of switch…the Red Button my son had apparently dreamed about and warned us of for the better part of the day.
Me and my wife have just excepted that the strangeness was here before us, and it will still be here after us. No point in even questioning anything. It doesn’t even faze us any more, lol.
Dreams, how do they work.
