Anyone here still/ever play Morton’s List? My group of friends that I usually play D&D with and I have recently started playing and it’s great, so far we are really enjoying it. We started out with “Morton’s Lite” which is the free, condensed version that’s available on the official website then I eventually shelled out $130 for a used copy of the original book. Now we are all pretty deep into & we want to take things a step further with the degrees & class system but the cheapest copy of the “360° of the Inner Circle” available anywhere online is over $1000 so I’ve been asking around trying to see if anyone out there might have a PDF copy? I know it’s a longshot, but I did find someone with other List related documents backed up digitally (not including the 360° book of course) so I figured I may as well ask. Either way, if any of you guys play or have played then post about your quests & experiences here! MZL Fam!

Holy shit. I just looked on Amazon and the 360 degrees of the inner circle book is now over 7,000 dollars! What the flippin flippity fuck?!! That’s fuckin insane. When I bought it like 3 years back, it was only 15 bucks. Guess I might be sitting on a gold mine. I also have the Morton’s list quest journal as well.

Wow. I bought mine new for around 20 bucks. Is it really that rare? I will have my books at the gathering again this year so if you want to play the 360 degree version then hit me up. Plus @tox usually has her books there too and she is easy to find. Usually at a site with a big Morton’s List banner.

I have always wanted to get into tabletop gaming. Maybe it would take me away from these video games.

Funny…I recently had BOTH the original Morton’s List booklet AND the 360 booklet scanned and printed at work.  I’ve got the PDFs too.  Sounds like I’m sitting on a gold mine!  I wouldn’t mind publically sharing it if I didn’t already know that they are planning on printing them back up and rereleasing them…

This. I can barely commit to an hr at home.

Gotta keep your eyes on ebay. I’ve seen complete sets within the last year listed at $500+ and complete sets listed at under $100.

Well, kind of. I have always thought of this planet as a giant playground of sorts…..

Yeah I’ve seen those too… I’m not one of those ninjas who buy EVERYTHING… I collect CDs. I own some clothes.

Mice seen that ninja selling that $500 one for a while. If I don’t see one pop up or something by the end of the year or something I’m taking it. It’s fucken worth it. But that’s all talk for now.

Anyone else think that Mortons List…kinda…sucks?

I’ve tried playing that game multiple times now and it’s only been fun one time. It’s a game that requires the PERFECT setting, PERFECT combination of people, and PERFECT funds/drugs/attitudes/emotions. Basically, another way to explain the game is that;

So long as everything in the universe aligns, it’s a good way to kill a few hours.

Which, removing the Pyschopathic aspect, sounds like a terrible fucking game. In theory it’s great but in practice it sucks. IMO of course.

honestly i highly doubt they are going to go back into reprinting them. they decided to destroy all the remaining copies back in 2012  (for some odd reason) and then said it i is discontinued. which is the reason why people are trying to charge as much as humanely possible for a copy of it.

THAT BEING SAID. can I pretty please, with some Much Clown Love, on top have a copy of the scanned books?

 @stewie , Maybe you don’t know, but @scottied has inside info on this. He talks to Psychopathic and the people involved with Dark Carnival games on a regular basis.

The reason they destroyed all the copies was for a special event – Karmagedon. They destroyed all the remaining copies at the time in a volcano for the Mayan calendar cycle restart.

I feel that this is purely a speculative speculation, but i can dig it.

P.s. speaking of digging, they buried the copies right next to where Thy Butterfly rests.
