Living in four different towns in NC for three years opened my eyes forever. I could write a novel. Even the most intelligent people I met down there had those sudden spurts of ignorance.
Marvin Gaye offered that only love can conquer hate, but sometimes it is impossible to try and show those worms peaceful reason. Life is too short; kill a bigot redneck fuck. On that note, there are plenty more in NY, PA, and CO where I have lain my head, but the southerners have a decaying, sickly hate that envelops you as soon as you come within their realm. Could just be pride in their family stump. Some Texans want a Confederate flag on their government-issue license plate(s) as they say “the Confederate flag is a symbol of sacrifice, independence and Southern heritage.” Texas says no, so the Supreme Court gets to sift through the freedom v. bigotry debate.
