That is the news I have been hoping for for quite some time. It only seems right to have MEC produce the 6th since he didn’t do it the first go around. J has already said the sixth will end in heaven and hell again, so I wonder if MEC is just doing one of them in full like how Mike P did Shangi-La and then Hell’s Pit was a mix of producers or if he’s doing both.
Also, no matter how good the beats and production are, J and Shaggy still need to bring it. Shaggy’s been on point and upping his game for some time while J has been a mess in his personal life and his creative output has been wildly inconsistent. They’ve also really struggled with hooks and so I hope they have the good sense to bring back in Legs Diamond, Synn, or someone else to fulfill that roll that nobody really has since Young Wicked was booted.

They do need to bring it. I’m not worried about Shaggs.
Maybe if the other half of Insane Clown Posse focuses more on Violent J than Joe Bruce, then this album could explode.
As in, maybe try to sidestep your romantic entanglements and pharmaceutical indulgements for a bit, dude.
Just long enough to focus on the album.
Maybe don’t release an album that has a bunch of odd filler, then 8 months later release a far superior album of outtakes that 90% of us will find as superior. And then debate why they weren’t included in the original.
Maybe work WITH Mike E Clark more, and take some input. Same goes for Mike E Clark. Work together. Don’t just email beats and call it a day because you think you got this all covered.
You don’t have to duplicate the “old sound”, no matter what we all want. You can stay true while pushing boundaries, we know you all have it in you.
Maybe smoke more weed instead of popping pills, or don’t. I know that’s much harder than it sounds for someone who is addicted. But, you know. I know I’m contradicting myself by saying that you all don’t have to sound like the “old ICP” to be relevant, but whatever influences in your life that you used during that magic era around the original Wraiths, maybe reintroduce some of them shits.
Smoke some weed, go jogging with your headphones again, hang out with Esham, Syn, Legs Diamond, etc. Hang with people who push you. No Yes Men…. but still know that you all are the ultimate Artists.
Put a random MNE artist on a track, just to blow people’s mind lol.. maybe Blaze, since he helped J with his anxiety through cannabis.
Don’t diss any ladies or gents from the past. The Sixths are bigger than that mess.
Maybe, just maybe, put a lil Mike P on that bitch. Kuma, too. Or not.
What the fuck do I know? I’m a 40 year old Juggalo who has stayed with this shit since I was 13 or 14. It’s part of us. We expect something dope for this, because 6th Joker’s Cards are an event to us. They’re like a total solar eclipse that only comes around so often, but that we are lucky enough to be able to purchase and replay whenever the mood strikes.
Bring that shit

Mike E needs to stop with the trash guitar sounds he’s been using for years. Ever since BPB he’s been using soft ass guitars can’t stand that sound. The last hard hitting guitar track he made was “watch my ride”
seems like this first one is gonna be hells pit version so hopefully it goes hard. my guess is hallowicked release.
this is the soft guitar shit im talking about and this is where it all started

I think Kuma and Mike P (and Se7en) do the best work for ICP outside of MEC but I do hope at least one of the upcoming albums is just all MEC. Just seems time for it.
But I do agree that they do not need to approach this as though it has to sound like anything else they’ve already done. Because when you look at it, especially at the first six Joker Cards, none of those really sounded the same from one to the next and each one has its own identity and sound. The last few Joker Cards have been kind of lacking in having their own unique vibes and sounds and I hope MEC brings that element back along with ICP.
And I agree that I hope it is more of a collaboration and not just MEC making beats on his own to email to ICP. ICP have talked about how they used to work with MEC on beats to go with the song ideas they had and how that changed by the time MEC came back for the Tempest, so the only “old school” thing I want them to bring back is the collaboration process even if the actual sounds are different.
