I'm gonna become a member here. Ive never thought about "droppin the hatchet"; there is no hatchet. I've been a fan since 96. I'm a metal head. I have a korn tat and an icp tat. The whole juggalo thing is stupid. It gives people a label. What is a juggalo? Icp asks this. They didn't make the name. I like icp. A lot. Maybe too much. So mcl but I remember when icp was all there was. Then twisted came along. There ok. But icp started this and you can't have clown love for a group that isn't clowns. It's all made up. Like them or don't but psychopathic is bigger than icp now. So what hatchet? If u truly feel mcl then ull never have a hatchet to drop. Who understands this?

WARNING: Useless and long winded opinion ahead.
I think I'd only ever 'drop the hatchet' if they released like three Tempest (or lower) quality major labels in a row. One dissapointment I can deal with, at two, I'd maintain faith that they could bring the momentum back. But three consecutive bombs, I'd lose interest. I wouldn't stop listening to the music I already enjoy, but I probably just wouldn't keep up to date with anything in the juggalo world. If, after I lost interest, they could pull their shit together and I cought wind of something promising, I'd be right back on board though. Thus far, the Tempest was their only album that's really left me feeling dissapointed, and even some of that I dig. I was really into BPB, and I still appreciate that album. I'm fucking psyched for Mighty Death Pop, and even if it does manage to leave me cold, which I'm almost certain it won't, I'll still be looking forward to their future work.

The Tempest was good, but it not THAT good. what threw me off about that record is that you can TELL by listening to the album that they didnt record the stuff together. Mike Clark made beats then sent them through e-mail to ICP.
BPB was a collaborative effort by the three of them, and thats why that CD has so much success.

That's probably a big reason, yeah. But even if they had worked together, I can't see the end result being dramatically different. It was like they were trying to make a concept album, but the concept just wasn't very consistent. It was less "ups and downs of a roalercoaster" and more random assortment of hit or miss tracks, with only the titular song, and maybe the into, really at all pertaining to the main theme. I dunno, it was just sloppy, and only the first half could really manage to hold my attention at all.
Bang Pow Boom kept my focus all the way through, and maybe I have a more diverse musical taste than some juggalos, but I liked almost damn near every track of that CD. The only track that regularly gets skipped is Boing Boing, and also some times Juggalo Island (but the Shaggy skit with the cop at the end is always great).

like Esham said, Tempest was ICP trying 2 learn fruity loops n shit...which sounds obviously true poorly put 2gether, wack ass homemade beats. That shit sucked!! Tempest Sucked! Bang Pow Boom sucked, cept like 2 songs...3 strikes your out ICP...especially releasing it 4 times....3 different colors then Nuclear version...its "we suck these new record sucks but lets put it out 4 diff times so SHEEP buy it.. 2dope "as crushin up oxy pill and drinkin bottle of jack...WHOOOOOOO"

I don't think the three versions of BPB was all that bad. Not when you could just download the tracks you're missing from amazon. That's what I did, anyway. And even if you can't download the two other hidden songs at the end of the album, as long as you have the red version, I really don't think you're missing much.
I think, Juggalos who couldn't enjoy Bang Pow Boom and are only hoping for a new ICP album with an oldschool feel, they may as well stop waiting, save the suspence and just quit now, because they're never going to sound like they used to.

once again, i feel like the only kid without a jacket, but...
am i the one juggalo that likes the tempest?
from jeckel bros on, every icp release had to grow on me at least a little, because the first time i heard them, i was like, 'whats going on here?' the single exception was the tempest, i felt like it was exactly what i was expecting.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I didn't hate the Tempest. It's just that it was the first of ICP's major releases that I'd been anticipating, I was a relatively new juggalo at the time, I was excited and hoping for something great. And it kind of let me down. I felt like half of the album was good, at some points bordering on great, but the other half I could really just skip right through. Maybe I just set my expectations too high. It's half decent, but it wasn't what I was hoping for.
Bang Pow Boom lived up to the hype, I felt, or maybe it only seemed better because it was preceeded by a dissapointment.
