Does anyone else feel like the mayhem at Juggalo shows has calmed down quite a bit?

I’m from Denver and have Been to tons of shows, and it seems to me in recent years people just don’t have it in them anymore.

I remember colfax being shut down in front of the Fillmore because of some Crip vs Juggalo action, People having Kegs in the line, Faygo everywhere, Half the crowd painted, Everyone chanting, everyone seemed so much more unified and crazy.

Lol sometimes it feels a little awkward standing in a line of ninjas with near silence.

I still see shit like that up in CT & MA. Nothing too terribly violent, but some wild shit none the less.

Back in the old days Juggalos at shows would ignite random vehicles for light/warmth.  If the cops tried to stop us we would set them on fire as well.

Back in the old days, it literally rained diamonds before the show began.  Its the sole reason I have a steel umbrella.

Back in the old days, we made choreographed dance numbers (flash mobs bit our shit) to ICP songs and performed them in front of the venues.

Back in the old days, well i’m out of ideas “insert punching horse in the face joke here”

"Somewhere theres a Waffle House thats severely understaffed right now" -OCJ to Scruffy watching a second stage act at the Gathering.

Shit was definitely wilder back in the day. My first ICP concert like 11 people got arrested while waiting in like. Faygo was flying everywhere.

Last time I seen faygo flying in a line was prob like 3 or 4 years ago at a hallowicked. Then again, that’s prob last time I was in line for a show. But it was me throwing the faygo.

From tadpoles to frogs to Jesus to legends.

I remember when icp played the Ogden, in Denver, 2 nights in a row, and kids camped out overnight in a snowstorm. they were layed out on lawn chairs and sleeping bags, with a couple of inches of snow covering them. good times !

i agree 100%. Even in non”clown towns” like upstate NY cities (Buffalo n Rochester), the crowd and lines outside were MUCH wilder.

When i was moshing recently at Korn, crowd looked at us funny. What happened?

VIP is what fucked up shows for me. I used to be one of those maniacs on Colfax starting all kinds of mayhem, lining up the night before, all that shit… and when they drop this pay to enter early shit I’ll probably start going back to shows. They jumped the shark hard when they started it, and while they continue down this path I can’t help but hope that they suffer financially and also deal with decreased energy levels at shows. Plus the music is a lot mellower now, that will tend to attract less full fledged lunatics.
