Because at that moment he said it they were discussing Drew showing up at NEXT year’s Gathering and when Drew and other guy asked “Where’s it gonna be?” (amongst cross chatter with J and the other guy), Shaggy said “It’s a secret”…. that’s what I THOUGHT i heard anyway but it was SOME form of obfuscation of future information… derp

but hey, that shits sixteen months from now, we got lotsa time to speculate on it, while they change their plans.
i dont think they should bother changing the location, cuz its apparently too damn hard to lock one up to start with. the exception to that would be if they ever did decide to do a west coast/colorado/southern/whatever gathering.
thought i heard one or the other of em say ‘always in the midwest’ while they were talkin bout gathering locations.

(bold/underline added by me) Exactly. It’s too hard to get this shit locked down, it’s been proven over and over that just because a campground says we can come, it doesn’t mean the town will “let” us.
I wouldn’t mind staying at Legend Valley for a few more years, or at least Ohio. But they did say that they don’t want it to be stuck on repeat how they felt Hogrock was. Honestly, even though they are right that the Hogrock gatherings are jumbled together in my mind, I don’t even care at all because it’s just like one awesome memory anyways.

I thought Legend Valley was cool but it’s the only one I know so I’m open to change. I do wish they’d bring it closer. Something easier to hit up.

Pro: Legend Valley is just so much easier than the other two locations that I’ve been to.
Con: Which makes it simply not as interesting as say the Hogrock grounds were.

They had said TWO YEARS in the first place…
Now I’m wondering if the SUPER AMAZING NEWS to be revealed at the ICP Seminar spoken of in the most recent Hatchet Herald could bode some kind of continental shift in next year’s Gathering by having it somewhere more western…

Maybe they finally got a way to do the cruise though.
Most likely he he just meant we can’t tell you where it’ll be next year because they’re still looking / in negotiations.
