Not sure that I’d say Prozak, but he definitely didn’t sound like himself. As much as I love Madrox and Monoxide’s work in Dark Lotus…I think Shaggy impressed me more than anyone on this album. I’ve always thought he was the weakest petal on the other three albums, but I think he’s the strongest on this one. REALLY can’t believe I’m saying that, but I love every verse of his.

I agree with Jules Shaggy 2 Dope stepped his game up on this album. I was thinking about this the other day he is my fav on the cd.

Duuuude, Black Sand? Keep Up? Those are the best songs on that bitch aside from Follow The Leader. ‘I stepped into the mirror and I offed my reflection ’cause I’m a one of a kind, no exceptions.’ Ugh!

New album is so dope. Hated it at first, won’t stop playing it now. I don’t need to clarify why I like it so much. Amazing production though. Sampling is great. Intro and the little instrumentals? Genius.

Tales with Marz. I always liked his verses. At least he was aggressive and original. ABK is boooooring!!

Black Rain is decent but the more time goes on the less I feel inclined to listen to it. Plus ABK is on it.

Fair enough, to each his own but ’45 Minutes’ is one of the darkest and interesting songs they’ve ever done. It is a vague subject matter and viewpoint but sounds like they are talking about hanging and not dying for 45 minutes. THAT is the wicked shit, folks.

Well, I think I’ve listened to TMWAB enough to form an opinion and ranking. I’ll start by saying my ranking order will probably be like no one else’s on the forum because it looks like this:

1. Black Rain

2. The Mud, Water, Air and Blood

3. Opaque Brotherhood

4. Tales From the Lotus Pod (both versions)

All opinion, but nothing will ever top Black Rain for me. I find it to be a perfect Lotus album start to finish. (The fact that Shaggy was completely cocked the whole way through it makes it that much fresher to me lol.) Honestly, I hear more tracks off “Tales” at the GOTJ live when I go every few years than ever bumping it anywhere else in my personal life. It’s a solid album, don’t get me wrong, but it never did as much for me as it appears it did for 95% of other juggalos.

Anyway, I find TMWAB to be fairly solid the whole way through. It’s a new direction for Lotus and actually reminds me of a more all around rap record than wicked shit/horrorcore (which I kind of find refreshing in a Lotus album). The intro is sick and “Garden of Evil” is one of the best tracks to come out of PSY in years! 

Aside from that, “The Drought” and “Let it Rain” are easily my 2nd and 3rd favorite tracks. The only ones I don’t care for, after listening through the album a couple dozen times since the Gathering, are “Morbid” and “Price of Life”. The first is just way to repetitive for my liking and the latter is a good concept for Lotus, but just comes off corny to me. Other than that, there isn’t a song I skip.

Definitely a strong follow up to Opaque Brotherhood which I thought was going to be my #2 Lotus album forever.

Coagulate is definitely my favorite on the album. Let it Rain and Death in a Jar are probably next.
