what i really fuckign ahte is that i cannot sit through podcasts.
dunno, just doesnt peak my interest regardless how good it is.
sorry n shit.
i lose interest after like 5 or 10 minutes if im lucky.

but im glad to see @mitchellking is still doing this. keep it up homie!

i just dl em, listen to it as im doin whatever else.  not like ya gotta drop everything and put on headphones and focus focus focus.

i mean, if im not hearing this, id just be listenin to music ive heard a thousand times already.  or having some shit on tv, in the background, that im barely payin any attention to.

he does a good job with this show, its worth it for me to sit through.  as much as psychopathic radio or any other noise.

just like the forum, really;  all it is, is stuff that im more interested in, than whatever else i would otherwise be doin.

frankly, he needs the support, or he aint gonna keep it up.  and i, for one, wanna see him keep it up.

so yeah, i recommend that anybody reads this take a lil time to check the murder mayhem show out.  at least one or two of em.  send him a note sayin what you think of it.  or fuck, just post it here, hell see it.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I started listenin to one of them a couple of weeks ago, definitely thought it was good but like Novo was saying a one-hour podcast just doesn’t really fit well into my life anywhere.  But I just bought a Bluetooth speaker for $25 though that goes in the shower, so that’s a possibility.  I hear what scruffy says too, it’s definitely cool to make a bit of effort here.  I think my appetite for something like this will be bigger too now that there aren’t any shows to go to or albums dropping for who knows how long.  One thing though Mitchell- do you mind if I listen to your show while I’m washing my ass, or do you want me to put you on pause for that part?

yeah its not jsut that, i dunno. id prolli take like 2 weeks to get through an episode.

when im at home and not lurking around the forums like i do lik 9 hours a day atm, im either catching up on something on tv (theres a few good shows i like to watch) or sitting at my pc playing with beats/recording random garbage thatll never see the light of day.

i actually find myself with extremely little downtime (flh forums is usually spent with fl studio open, tweaking shit.)

i will check out an episiode though. at least then i can say i tried.

I’ll admit that it’s extremely hard for me to listen to an hour long podcast…or even watch an hour long show, for that matter.

Anyway, my two cents and response to the “Toxic Fumes” debate. My evidence as to why I think it’s Greez-E, and an outtake:

1. The production value is similar to Beverly Kills, in my opinion. That’s just an opinion though. It might not be as complex as the other tracks, but if this is an outtake demo, then that’s to be expected.

2. The term(s) “toxic fumes” is, as far as I know, only mentioned in one ICP song, and that’s “In the Haugh!”, which is also on Beverly Kills. ICP tends to reuse slang and terminology and it changes with the era, so this is consistent with Beverly Kills.

3. The pop culture references. “Hey fuck you Vanilla Ice!” Vanilla Ice vanished out of the spotlight once 1994 hit. Sure, some people still referenced him, but the vast majority of rappers and artists did circa 1990 to 1993 because of all the hate he generated. Early ’90s is also when Axl rose to fame (see what I did thar?).

4. The intro sounds like Violent J, but that’s about it. So I agree with the fact that the rapper is indeed not Violent J, at all.

5. It’s been marked as ICP for the past ten years, so the general conscious is that it’s ICP.

6. The rapper sounds like Greez-E, but his voice is modified or overdubbed in this song. I could be wrong. As for the rhymes, just an opinion, but I don’t think he’s “ahead of his time.” It’s not that great lol.

By no means is this concrete evidence at all. I actually wanted to discuss this with someone at one point or another, and I knew posting it on Unreleased Underground ( https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..ygoluvers/ SHAMELESS PLUGGING AHAH) will spark the discussion. So yeah, let’s see what we can come up with.

@ScottieD you got any input sir?

Apparently it didn’t tag him and I can’t edit it so that it can be fixed. Hey @scottied what do you think?

for me, none of that adds up to anything better than circumstantial evidence, at best.  really, mostly falls short of even that.

in fact, it serves as a great example of why circumstantial evidence is no good.  especially #5.

dont see any reason to say it greez-e, either.  sounds like mc nobody, to me.

all in all, i call it unauthentic, not merely for the uncertainty about its authenticity, but also cuz the song really really sucks.

oh, just sos ya knows, xanarki…  mitchell brought this up a while ago.  the bit this week was just a followup, presumably brought on by your new section.  im sayin, the spark had already happened…  but not reached forum posts yet.

Well like I said, it’s not concrete at all. Bunch of assuming. If we find out it’s not authentic, can remove it quite quickly. We’ll see.

Damn, I listened to the podcast and was pretty convinced by Mitchell’s point that this doesn’t sound like Beverly Kills-era ICP.  But, Xanarki makes some good points too, especially #2 and #3.  There are only a few people on earth who know for sure, but for the rest of us I think just the opportunity to have a discussion like this is pretty fucking cool.

It’s clearly Twiztid tho

But yeah now that sn actual discussion is happening, I can safely assume one of us will figure it out once n for all.

And I missed two other pop culture references, Sinbad and Joe Pesci. Pesci in particular retire in 1999 for the most part and hebwas hugely popular in the early 90s as well…

thing about the pop culture references…  all the writer has to do to front, is not mention anything later than whatever year theyre frontin for.  thus, #3 has proven that the song cant have been recorded before 1990 or so, and nothing else.

in fact, given how badly the song is written, im inclined to think that it shows more toward the ‘someone wrote it later’ theory.  like they didnt know of anyone else from that time.  aint as if theyre name droppin another bad creation, or sumn.

not that i care.  like i say, track is gunk.  either way, it belongs in the void.

only if someone cops to it.  only way.  otherwise, strongly doubt it.

Damn thanks for discussing the show y’all. I appreciate it. Scruff, I don’t plan on quitting the show until it becomes a recognizable thing. I want Psychopathic to know about it just like they do the other Juggalo websites. I’ve got my eye on the prize.

For people saying you can’t listen for an entire hour: I’ve got the remedy, fool! Go to the YouTube page where I cut out highlights by topic that usually run about 10-15 minutes each. The easiest way to get to the YT page is http://www.slowplayradio.com/m…..rdermayhem and then click the link for “episode highlights”.

I’m gonna get to the bottom of Toxic Fumes one way or another. The first step is asking ICP themselves, which is easily done. They do so many shows and public appearances, I’m sure I can knock that out in a matter of months.

Thanks for listening, go to the facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/mayhemshow and twitter at http://www.twitter.com/murdermayhemspr. Gonna keep pushing it out there until people recognize!

Interesting feedback, thanks. It kind of just depends on the topic. I feel like I’m taking pretty firm stances on most things, but it’s true, I don’t want to step on toes. Haha passionate about being neutral. That’s pretty funny because on my other podcast we all took a Dungeons & Dragons quiz to see what alignment we are on good and evil, and I got “True neutral,” which is as neutral as you can get. I guess I do have a “wait and see” attitude about things in general. I will keep that under consideration. Thanks!

In the meantime, I’m starting to get things uploaded onto the YouTube channel including remixes and such that I have made over the years, so subscribe tot he YouTube channel for more good stuff there. *plug plug*
