And ICP has sold out / has tried to sell out a billion times over their career. We all need to let that sell out shit go because both sides have shown they want to sell out over the years. Let's just look at what they're doing musically. Last great album Twiztid released was Abominationz. Last great ICP album was over a decade ago.

its all opinion.
the blasphemies, the high praise, etc.
all of it is equally valid. and equally relevant.
take, just as a for instance, my opinion that abominationz was not the best thing from psychopathic in ten years. i dont even think its better than death pop. equally relevant.
i dont much care for freek show at all. how valid is that? equally.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

commonsense would point to such, but such maturity cannot be tolerated on the internet
take opinions out of it and messageboard would cease to exist.
that said, saying mighty death pop being better than abominationz is about as offensive as saying the tempest is better than milanko

SO according to Twiztid they can't do shit until they're officially released from the label. My question is, when that day comes will the fans actually get the full scoop or just some lame ass story like personal differences or some shit?
Maybe ICP will come out and school ninjas on what exactly went down? At the Gathering?
Will we be able to believe either side as telling the 100% truth?
I really don't see Twiztid doing much when it's all said and done, but I hope they prove me long...

I seem to remember ICP saying they don't hold artists to a contract when people were asking them about boondox leaving. Didn't they say something along the lines of, you want out, you can leave? I believe it was during their gathering seminar last year. I don't blame them for not wanting to let twiztid go, but this can't be helping relations between them.

first thing i thought when they left, was that maybe they saw that video and said, 'wait, all we gotta do is ask to leave?'

there cannot be any such dispute because they were signed/under contract. whoever the paperwork says owns it, owns it...and judging from the way things usually go and psychopathic's history, i imagine they will retain ownership over EVERYTHING twiztid did during their tenure, w/twiztid receiving laughable royalties.
those claiming twiztid souled out in any context...where is that coming from?i dont see how they have compromised their integrity/music by any stretch of the imagination...where is this shit coming from?ESPECIALLY when those same fans will turn around and defend icp to the death, when their constant attempts to sell out are unquestionable. they have taken countless attempts to breakthrough to a mainstream audience since the days of jeckel bros. and have changed up their whole sound in hopes of getting mainstream attention, with no bigger embarrassment than their response to the "miracles" fiasco...they recieve horrible press from that embarrassing song/video and what is their response? to attempt to remake the same exact shit again and whore themselves out in hopes of getting millions of youtube views, even if its all negative (referring to "it's all over" song/video)...and failing miserably. their whole watered down sound these days is a giant attempt to crossover that would never have been excepted in the golden years of psychopathic...but that wasnt my point, i still enjoy icp's music so im not tryna be that guy.
if you listen to mostasteless, than pop in abominationz...i cant think of any artist who has stayed truer to themselves or their fanbase.from a musical integrity/selling out standpoint...twiztid are unfuckwitable

The only problem with that is ICP were selling millions and touring huge BEFORE they tried selling out. It's the most back asswords thing I've ever seen. They were at their peak during Milenko and AJB. Platinum, touring large venues, etc etc. Growing the ICP name while remaining ICP. But since they got laughed at by "cool" people and the industry, they tried cleaning themselves up. "Cool" people still laugh at them, the music industry still doesn't give a fuck, and they lost 80% of their fan base. I do see a problem with that attempt to sell out because it didn't better them in any way, especially financially. So now that I think about it, I can't even be mad at ICP selling out anymore. It's the funniest backfire I've ever seen. Yet sad too because they were so good and entertaining back then. Greed is a helluva drug.
I agree with you about Twiztid bill but we have to be fair here. They did do Warped Tour and the USA gig. I'm sure they would have done more too if they got the phone calls ICP did. I'm sure they also regret not leaving Psychopathic earlier on and being more out there. I've learned over the years people only yell underground because the mainstream is giving them no attention. But once the mainstream does, boy does that 180 happen fast. The mainstream is a helluva drug.

Instead of saying "fuck outta here" after asking a question like there's no response to be had, how about you wait for one first to see if there is one? It defeats the purpose of asking a question. It shows your insecurity of not wanting a response so you can feel like you "won" something which you didn't. It also shows the insecurity of what you're saying. Grow up. ICP weren't sell outs signing to major labels because they didn't take a "fuck major labels" approach until after AJB. After Island merged and pushed ICP to the side and stopped caring about them. Up until that point they were just climbing the ladder. But they did sell out crawling back trying to get signed to major labels later on after saying fuck them.
And yeah Twiztid did with Warped Tour because they made a big thing about not doing festivals and then oops, Warped Tour. No different than ICP selling out with Woodstock. Twiztid gave up all rights to hold that against ICP.
Bottom line is when you say fuck something (going as far as saying you'll never do it) and then end up doing it for money, that's selling out. ICP and Twiztid are both guilty. ICP much more so. Then again Twiztid did say Psychopathic for life too so who cares. We've all sold out in life. No one's innocent.
