Just being a honest juggalo

hey ninjas and ninjettes I gotta be honest about something, maybe some of you will be mad but whatever I don’t have a filter so here it is… To be perfectly honest, the only ICP stuff I really hardcore listen to is the following: Ringmaster, Riddlebox, Great Milenko, Jeckel Brothers, Bizarre/bizaar, and Wraith: Shangri La… no shade to any other icp albums or projects but does this make me less of a juggalo? I’ve been a juggalo almost my whole life, but I just don’t listen to EVERYTHING psychopathic related. The only twiztid I ever cared for was Mostastless, Freek Show, Mirror mirror and green book, anything after that I just never really got down with don’t judge me..

i never cared for Blaze, ABK, young wicked, AMB, or boondox.. although I really fucked with Zug Island when they first came out! I still love my family regardless tho, I just happen to listen to other music also.. I would say about 90% of my playlist on my iPhone 7 consists of ICP and twiztid though, I just lost interest in the new stuff to be perfectly honest.

Honestly, I think a lot of people would pretty much say the same that you are including myself. I like a lot of ICP’s music after the first 6, but, usually it’s more so certain songs as opposed to the full albums like I did for the first 6. I also don’t listen to COC often. I would add Hell’s Pit though, that was some good shit. And for Twiztid, I do like The Darkness though I know there are mixed feelings on that. Their newest album is fucking terrible.

As far as the other Psychopathic acts, I have the same answer you do on that as well. I really liked Cracked Tiles by Zug Izland but after that the albums just don’t have the same magic. I tried to fuck with Blaze and ABK but aside from a couple of songs I just never really enjoyed them. Then some of their other acts like Boondox, AMB, etc. I never even really listened to. Between about 2005-2013’ish I sort of took a “hiatus” from Psychophathic so some of those guys I just never got into. I tried to sample some and was very like “meh”.

Psy & I have an open relationship. They make whatever music they want, & I fill in the gaps with hardcore/metal until they quit preaching. This grabbed me at a recent GOTJ:

Okay, I have two questions.

Question 1: What a Juggalo even is?

Question 2: Does Juggalo help get these grape juice stains up from my carpet?

Question 3: Who are you people get the fuck out of my living room

But nah I’m the same way I don’t listen to icp anymore at all. I kinda felt weird chanting “I’m a be down with the clown till I’m dead in the ground” on some brainwashing shit. I can’t deny the fun I had listening to them when I was a teen but at some point I realized I’m not gonna be a kid forever and branched out to other music that spoke to me. I still drink beers and reminisce with the homies on how we felt at the time. But nah you’re not any less of a juggalo just wiser.cheers

I dont think anybody listens to psychopathic / mne exclusively. The line up at gotj can tell you that much.

What icp and Twiztid that you do listen to is immaterial. There’s people here who live the whole tempest era which i think is poop and a half. And, although I been down roughly 20 years, give or take, I’m feeling the Fuck out of the “second deck” where most people don’t.

It’s all just entertainment. One thing that makes our scene significantly different from others is that the music is secondary.

Hey its all different for everyone.

I remember encountering people who:

– only enjoy COC, Beverly Kills, Terror Wheel and Ringmaster. Before they “sold out”

– only enjoy The Wraith: Shangri La and won’t even give Hell’s Pit the time of day.

– only enjoy the big 3 : Riddlebox, Milenko and AJB. To varying degrees with Ringmaster involved.

– like all of the first 5 only. To many older Juggs, The Wraiths are where ICP “lost it”.

– only like the second deck discs.

– like Rydas but no ICP.

– Love ICP but hate Twiztid and vice versa.

I’m sure there’s some hipster fuck out there who will only admit to liking Dog Beats or something obscure like Forgotten Freshness 3. “That’s where they were being REAL, man. That’s the only time they really rapped about the STRUGGLE.” or some shit.

Oh I forgot to mention Terror Wheel, didn’t care for Beverly kills or tunnel of love… but anyways good feedback ninjas! I’m still down with the clown for life, y’all always gonna be my family regardless of who likes what… The fact is, ICP will probably always be one of my most listened to artists on my playlist even tho I listen to a lot of other shit like Slipknot, Korn, System of a down, Mushroomhead.. Hell I even listen to Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Travis Scott, XXXtentacion, Chief Keef, Lil Durk the list goes on… But I’ve always been a juggalo since day one, the love I get from family is like no other music scene and nothing can replace that!

I dont judge what people listen too, as long as you’re cool as fuck and not with that drama bullshit I don’t give af if u listen to GWAR or Metallica or AC/DC.. I feel like juggalos generally get along regardless of age, religion, or sexual preference.. that’s why I fuck wit y’all so damn hard. If anyone in Seattle wants to meetup and throw a mini gathering hit up my PM or my email [email protected]

Im deffinetly on the other end of this, coming into icp when BPB was announced, I do enjoy some of the new stuff they put out, lost and found were eh, some good track here and there but overall eh, but The Outtakes were great in my opinion, and im still lovin F.T.F.O.M.F. With Beverly kill and Milenko being my favorites. But to actually answer your question, no not really, I consider my self a fan of sublime even though I havent listened to much after there Sublime album (there 5th outta 15 for reference)

I agree, and you’re probably more then 90% correct. Most juggalos would tell you straight up that they listen to other shit besides MNE and Psychopathic. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a Stan for icp, hence the reason I call myself a juggalo. I’m not sure what the “Second deck” is…

I also agree that us juggalos stand out from the world.. in middle eastern and I’m a Christian but a juggalo at heart, so I stand with all juggalos no matter what race, ethnicity, or religion.

The second deck is the colloquial term for the album’s that come after hells pit but follow the jokers cards formula.

Here’s a breakdown of how I listen to PSY, I think it’s fine not to care for everything they have ever released, there is a reason they have so many compilations albums like forgotten freshness, and Psy from outer space, to put all the stale shit that wouldn’t fit anywhere else (though there are some gems laced in those as well)

ICP – Riddlebox, Melinko, both wraith albums, maybe COC, everything else I could cherry pick tracks

Twiztid – Freek Show, Mirror Mirror, maybe Green Book, cherry pick the rest

Dark Lotus – Tales From The lotus Pod, maybe black rain, cherry pick the rest

Ryda’s – Dirtay, DDFD, back door ryda, cherry pick the rest

Blaze – 1 less G might be one of the best albums ever conceived, cherry pick the rest

ABK – Cherry pick everything, love his early collabs, just don’t feel him solo

AMB – cherry pick everything

Boondox – cherry pick everything

Zug Island – Cracked Tiles… that’s it really

Everyone else’s shit has pretty much been DOA to me!

Honestly PSY wasn’t ever a first love for me, I listed to them almost exclusively during the family era, but was into punk rock well before I was down, and Metal well after, I don’t think it makes me any less of a Juggalo, in fact I’ve had to check myself a few times from looking down at post Shangri-La kids, and just accept that is there shit because that is when they became down, like wise I want to knuckle up on bitches that think they are the shit because they’ve been down since Ringmaster, but haven’t listened to ICP since AJB

Don’t ask other people to validate your Juggalo status. It is a self-identification. Fuck what anyone thinks because it is up to you if you are a Juggalo or not. What is a Juggalo? A Juggalo, that’s what it is… well fuck if I know.
