So I just found out today that a work trip I was supposed to go on over Juggalo Weekend has been postponed, and I’m scheming. Now the thing is, I probably can’t make it to both Juggalo Weekend and the Gathering this year, it’s going to have to be one or the other. I bet most people would say to go to the Gathering… but consider this:
1. I’ve been to a Gathering before.
2. At least once I would like to see ICP play a big show in Detroit, and I haven’t done that before.
3. The Ringmaster is my shit, I love that album. If there is one special ICP show I would want to go to, that’s the one.
4. Also I’m saying now that it looks like it has to be one or the other… but if I go to Juggalo Weekend, then by the time the Gathering rolls around almost 6 months later the opening is there to say fuck it and just go to the damn Gathering anyway.
OK so that started out as a request for advice but actually fuck your advice I’m going to Juggalo Weekend. Anybody else here going?

I’ll be there for sure. Having been to both, if I had to choose between one or the other, I’d say the Gathering. I LOVE Juggalo weekend and now that I’ve been to one, I don’t plan on missing one again. That being said, I can’t imagine missing a Gathering! It’s nearly a week-long festival of hanging with Juggalos that you typically only get to see once a year, and like a hundred acts all in one place. There’s no comparison.
Like you said though, you’ll find a way to make it to both. I hope to see you in February!

It’s funny trying to think about how things will seem in the future. Like, when I think about it right now, it doesn’t feel very likely that I will get it together to make it to the Gathering next year. But I know myself well enough to know than when July rolls around, I will just get in the car and go- unless someone is dying or it would cause me to get fired or something, nothing else will seem important.

This will be my second Juggalo Weekend and I am doing everything I can to finally make it out to the Gathering this year. I had an amazing time in Columbus a few years ago and I’ve never been to Detroit. I look forward to feeling rough that Monday.
@18-years-down I may have to check out the Holiday Inn Express. Haven’t booked a room yet.

GOTJ has Wizard of the Hood live which is likely to never happen again.
Juggalo Day is Ringmaster live which could happen again, as Riddlebox is going on tour.
I was thinking about how special it is to hear Ringmaster live. In the past 15 years I’ve seen ICP live at I think 8 tours and 9 Gatherings, and Ringmaster is pretty light in their setlists.vWe’ve all heard Chicken Huntin’ live – but not the Ringmaster version. Murder Go Round I’ve heard live, and I think I’ve seen them do (the remix of) Mr. Johnson’s Head. I also think maybe they did Who Asked You on the Bizzar Bizaar tour but I don’t remember.
My point is the album is made up of a ton of songs I love but rarely get played live. Southwest Song, the Loons, the Dead One, Get off Me Dog, Love Song, Bugz on my Nugz, etc.
and now i'm gonna be performin at Juggalo Day WHUT

What is gonna happen in the Gathering, and Imma go on the first day this time. The people I better meat are @scruffy ; @old-mr-dangerous ; @sean-law , @randygall, @krunkazphuk ; @bayareashaman @ocj_brendan ; @violentdope ; @v_ron ; @mrtidwell, @novocaine ; @psyral-infection ; @miklo-velka ,@scottied and @wow-a-chick. b] i did? well, in a way, yeah…
i prepared, had a reasonable budget [less than id have liked, spose, but reasonable]. its just that once i got there, i didnt really need to spend all that much, and most of my preparations werent especially necessary, and were taken care of over the course of a year [or more].
dont think its so much ‘little’ preparation, as it is no over-preparation. to know whats needed, whats good to have for contingencies, and what is a waste of time, money, or effort.
some juggalos, lots of em, prep like theyre gonna go live in a cave on mars for a couple months. to me, its just another gathering.

Lol, it looks like Randy Gall hacked my account up there or some shit. I shoulda known not to trust that motherfucker when he told me to give him my password so he could keep it safe for me!
Anyway though yeah I’m definitely making the Gathering, 10 hours would be no problem for that. For one show though, it’s a bit of a deterrent.

Yo @drfreshness I prolly won’t make the Gathering this year….the 2011 Gathering I went to is so sacred in my heart ….I’m not sure I’m ready to try and top that shit just yet.
But I will be at Juggalo Weekend Day #2,the Saturday show with Esham, barring any problems at the border.
I was arrested ten years ago over some stupid shit, and now half the time the border is a huge hassle.
Trying to keep my karma strong leading up to that event, hopefully it helps shit go smooth, already bought my ticket.
Also, if you have the balls to come up to Canada during ICP’s tour, we’ll party large,as I will be at every single show ICP performs up here.
